Please remember to send your articles to Mike Rather who now warms the editiorial hotseat. You will see a few changes introduced by Mike and Rob Willis, so get your hands on a keyboard and take a few pictures if you wish to contribute to some of the new columns. Coming up soon are a series of exciting club meetings including Project Airfix in October where we’ll get a little crazy and do some model making on the night. Peter Foxley will have his Hoyle’s Rules published soon so you can plan your strategy. Remember there are club competition points on offer too! High on the agenda for the September Club meeting is the Nationals Competition that we are pencilled in to host next year. Our club’s Apollo like mission should we choose to accept it is “to put an IPMS National model show on before the end of 2013 and return the models back to their display cabinets”. Come along this month with your ideas and enthusiasm to take part in a general discussion on the event. After the discussion we’ll be taking a formal vote of the membership to get a clear indication of what you all want and if we get the green light then we will set up an events committee that night and call for volunteers. Later on that same evening Craig Sargent will be presenting a highly anticipated workshop on Navigation Lights that will add to your super- detailing skill set. Just a reminder that there will be no “on the table” during the October meeting so please make sure you bring in your recent builds for next week’s meeting. We’re working on resurrecting the Decal Bank before Easter and if you have any contributions for the bank bring them along. I’m now trying to think of my kits as half finished instead of half-started while my beer glass remains half-full.
