Zacary Moreno of Piney Creek is the son of Jes-

sica Moreno. He was a recipi-ent of the Golden Leaf Schol-arship. His hobbies include playing guitar, photography, hiking, and playing video games. He plans on attending Appalachian State to study music and pursue a career in Music Production.

Lathan Allan Neugent of Sparta is the son of

Donna Soles and Jeff Neu-gent. He received the Coach-es Award for three years for baseball and also got the Per-fect Attendance Award. He was a member of the football and baseball teams. He en-joys hunting and fishing. His future plans include welding, farming, and working for his dad’s construction business.

Alyssa Theresa Lynn Nygaard of Piney

Creek is the daughter of Sarah Skoski and Douglas Nygaard. She is in the Top 20 of her class and will be graduating Summa Cum Laude. She was a member of the cheerleading squad and the Beta Club. She plans to go to college and eventually get a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Ashley Osborne of Sparta is the daughter

of Lisa Gooding and Mack Osborne. She plans to attend Wilkes Community College to figure out the rest of her future.

Caleb James Templeton Phillips of Piney Creek

is the son of Tony and Beth Templeton Phillips. He was a part of the National Hon-ors Society, Beta Club, NC Scholar Athlete, and received a NCRC Bronze Level Cre-dential. He was a member of the Swim and Tennis teams all four years of high school. He plans to attend Wilkes Community College while he figures out his interests.

Betty Piedras of Sparta is the daughter of Bea-

triz Hernandez and Antonio Piedras. She was a member of the soccer team. She plans to run her own business after graduation.

John Prest of Sparta is the son of Evelyn Prest. He

plans to attend trade school to study electrical line work.

Chloe Pruitt of Sparta is the daughter of Wil-

lie and Nicole Pruitt. She was awarded Grit Student of the Month, CTE Student of the Month, Volleyball All-Conference, and a Microsoft PowerPoint Certification. She

was a member of the Volley-ball, Softball, and AVC Vol-leyball teams and Beta Club. She plans to attend Wilkes Community College and Lenoir-Rhyne University to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Riley Pruitt of Sparta is the son of Scott and

Michelle Pruitt. He was in the Top 20 of his class. He was awarded All Conference in football and wrestling. He was a member of the Beta Club. He played football and wrestled all four years of high school. He plans to attend community college.

Marshall Rea of Glade Creek is the son of

Joel and Donna Rea. He is a member of the Beta Club. He was awarded All Conference lineman and CTE student of the month. He was a member of the football team. He plans on attending Wilkes Com-munity College in hopes of starting his own business.

Edwin Reyes of Sparta is the son of Nancy Reyes.

He enjoys playing video games. He plans to attend col-lege after graduating.

Eylem Colorado-Reyes of Sparta is the daugh-

ter of Gilda and Omar Colo-

rado. She was a member of the softball team. She plans to attend UNC Charlotte and major in International Busi-ness and Management.

Joanna Ines Lara Roque of Sparta is the daugh-

ter of Marisol Lara and Raul Cruz. She received the Coaches’ Choice award twice and the Academic Excellence award in Span-ish at Upward Bound.

She enjoys playing soccer, dancing, and painting. She

plans to attend UNC Char-lotte for sports medicine.
