2 INSTALLATION

21 Before you begin

Step 1 Ensure that you have all the equipment needed to make a properinstallation of the system

Step 2 Also ensure that grounding terminals AC-distributions are properlyavailable

Step 3 Take care that the regulations of IEC 60364 and CENELEC HD384concerning installation and assembling of telecommunication andelectrical equipment have been noticed The local regulations andspecial instructions must also be noticed during the work Whenchoosing the place of the installation please notice that the cooling air

must flow without restrictions through the ventilation holes The systemmust have enough space in front of it for operation and service functionsNotice the direction of the cabling and the required space of the otherequipment

22 Unpacking the system

Step 1 Check that the received cargo is according to the packing list

Step 2 Ensure that the cabinet and the equipment are not damaged duringtransportation

Step 4 Check that proper documents are delivered with the system andnecessary contact information for technical support is included

Remove the front cover from the AC distribution

Note Check if the all appropriate protection elements to supply the system in

the AC site main distribution are switched OFF

421 Grounding

Connect the protective-grounding terminal of the cabinet mechanics to the maingrounding bus bar of the site by proper cable

Step 1 Bring in the PE cable through input sleeve packing on the back of thecabinet so that there is enough length to make the connections

Step 2 Connect the PE cable to the protective-grounding terminal of the cabinet

Step 4 Check that proper documents are delivered with the system andnecessary contact information for technical support is included

on the back of the cabinet so that there is enough length to make theconnections To make this easier you could open the side doors (leftandor right) For that two screws in each side (accessible from the front)have to be unscrewed

Step 2 Connect AC input cables ndash PE cable to the PE terminal phase cable (L)to the phase connection and the neutral (N) cable to the N-connection ofthe input MCB breaker F0 in the AC distribution (Figure 5)
