The ODI brings together commercial, non-commercial and government actors around sectors to address today’s global challenges. Driven by needs, and focussed on timely challenges, we help people identify and address how the web of data will impact their businesses and their sectors. Together, we will build a strong data infrastructure that delivers open innovation at web-scale.

Finance

We helped to convene, co-chaired the development of, and published the UK Open Banking Standard (OBS). The first phase of this work brought together HM Treasury, banks, industry bodies, SMEs and startups into the Open Banking Working Group (OBWG). It produced a 150-page top-level specification covering all elements from legal to literacy, from technology to timeframes. The second phase, the Open Banking Development Group, is convening people to develop a living standard; aligned with regulation from the UK Competition and Markets Authority.
