We are so grateful to 2 of our organizations for their donation of food to the pantry. The New Horizon members were encouraged to bring a bag of non-perishable food items on the day of their luncheon, and the Knights of Columbus members did the same on the night of their meeting.
God bless the members of both organizations! Your kindness is always appreciated. We are currently in need of the following items: Rice (small bags) Cereal School Snacks Canned Fruit Dry Beans Crackers Coffee Pudding & Jello Mix Spaghetti Tomato Sauce Stewed Tomatoes
Thank you so much for your continued generosity!!

Increased Offertory Drive “Christ, Our Guiding Light in Faith, Hope and Charity”
This week you will receive a brochure detailing the Increased Offertory Program our parish will be participating in over the next few weeks. Our goal through this program is to increase our regular offertory contributions in order to keep pace with inflation and to continue to support our many ministries and outreach programs
Commitment Sunday for this Program is October 10th and 11th. We encourage all parishioners to spend time in prayer and discussion with your family reflecting on the parish’s needs and your current level of giving.
We look forward to seeing all of our parishioners at Mass next weekend for this very important Commitment Sunday. If you have any questions regarding the Increased Offertory Program, please feel free to contact the parish office.

Counselors from St. Matthew’s will facilitate the groups, which have a different topic for each session. Some topics include, learning about grief, self care, spiritual healing and finding meaning in loss.
The topic can also be one that a group member has introduced. There will be eight weekly sessions beginning Thursday, October 8th, 2015. The sessions are from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and meet in the conference room. There is no fee, however, registration is necessary. There is room for 15 people so please register by October 5th. Dear Msgr. Walter and the Good People of St. Matthew, I do not have words to thank you for your
warm welcome and generosity you show me. I feel renewed as I return to India to continue our work - bringing a little more joy and good health for our less fortunate brothers and sisters. I cannot adequately thank Msgr. Walter for his brotherly love and support. His generosity is beyond our imagination.
I cannot thank you enough, my friends, for your support. It is like coming home after a long time away. Your smiles, your inquiries about my work, and your continued support for the cause that I work for have been very encouraging. Your love has given me the strength to carry on my work in spite of the challenges. I know many of you are going through hard times and, in spite of that, you have been so generous. The work that I carry out is because of your support and so it is your work as well. Please continue to pray for me. May Our Lady of Good Health continue to bless the work of CHAI. Please do not forget to say the 3 Hail Marys for me and the work of our 3,600 member institution. You and your families will be in my prayers and Mass. CHAI and all the people it serves are greatly indebted. Please go to our website www.chai-india.org for up-to-date information on our work. Also, if you could send us your email address (send to [email protected]) we can put you on our mailing list. Fr. Tomi
