Annual Public Square Rosary Rally, Saturday, Oct. 14 at 12 noon The annual Public Square Rosary Rally will be held Saturday, October 14 at 12 noon at Hannah Cole Park, at the corner of Main and Morgan in Boonville. More than 20,000 rallies will be held with an estimated one million people across the nation praying for peace, conversion, family, and the desire to follow God's guidance. Our Lady has always been with us to bring us closer to God's love. One hundred years ago Our Mother appeared at Fatima, intervening on God's behalf to tell the world that we need to pray, especially the rosary, sacrifice, and spread God's love in our daily lives. Be there for God. If it rains, the event will be moved to the church. LIGHTS, CAMERA, AUCTION! St. Joseph Catholic School in Pilot Grove will hold its annual dinner and auction Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Pilot Grove Community Building. A roast beef dinner will be served from 4:30-7 p.m. Adults $10 and children $5. The live auction starts at 7:30 p.m. and a silent auction will be held throughout the night.

ProLife Across America Diann Foster, Missouri representative for ProLife Across America, is coming to Ss. Peter & Paul October 14 & 15. She will say a few words after communion about the work of ProLife Across America. She will be the vestibule after Mass, offering Christmas cards and information about the organization. November Marriage Encounter Get away, come together! Give your marriage the time it deserves. Register now for our upcoming Marriage Encounter weekend, Nov. 4-5th at the Best Western Plus in Jefferson City. Cost is $175 per couple and includes accommodations, materials, and meals for the weekend. Go to: www.jeffcityme.com to register or contact [email protected] for scholarship inquiries or questions. ‘October Count’ For many years, our Diocese has involved itself in a common pastoral practice across the United States known as the “October Count.” The month of October is selected because statistics indicate that it represents the best month to count individuals who attend each weekend Mass at a parish for the month. This is an excellent tool for pastoral planning for our parishes throughout the Diocese.

Explore Formed.org Formed is an online program run by the Augustine Institute that has many educational, spiritual, and formational tools to help each of us come to understand more about our faith and come to a deeper relationship with God and His people. The parish pays a yearly fee for this access. This fee will be a small price to pay if the program is used well. Some of the sacramental preparation programs we do will sue these programs as a supplement or as the main tool. I have found materials from the Augustine Institute to be solid and accurate. There are books, audio, movies, and such — appropriate for all ages. Go to the register section of Formed.org. Enter the parish code MR7FGW and your email address. Fill in the other information. A verification email will be sent by Formed to your email address. Verify it and you are good to go. It is that easy! The parish does get a report on how many use it. I know, as pastor, that educational opportunities are important and hard to schedule. Now, they are as accessible, convenient, and as close as your computer, tablet, or smart phone. No excuses now. Let’s make the most of this opportunity!

Online forms are now available to do so!
