Alex Lamarre is studying to become a teacher & currently works as a substitute teacher at John Nevins Andrews School while managing their before and after school care programs.

Yolande Melbourne is the 8th grade Homeroom teacher at Sligo Adventist School. Her hobbies include collecting dolls from around the world, collecting smiley face memorabilia, photogra-phy, and reading. She also participates in a mentoring program for at risk children in Prince George’s County.

“Simple Truths for Life:” Sligo’s Radio Ministry, can be heard each Sabbath morning from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. on WGTS 91.9 FM. Listen with a friend, then invite them to come to church in person at 11:15 a.m.!

Refreshments will be provided for Radio Day guests by the Conway & Rosburg team after the 11:15 a.m. service today in Fellowship Hall A.*Hospitality luncheon on November 3 will be served by the Joseph & Griffin team to our Sligo Adventist School teach-ers, staff and their families.

Arne Wasli passed away last Sunday morning. The Memo-rial Service for Arne Wasli will be at 3:30 p.m., in the Spen-cerville Church today. His family thanks you for the many cards, flowers, prayers and support that they received.

Sligo Women’s Ministries Book Club will meet on Wednesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. in Room 44 to discuss “Sex, Mom and God” by Frank Schaeffer.

Sligo Church needs knitters and crocheters! As part of the Raising the Roof initiative, Sligo’s knitters and crocheters are being challenged to produce hats, scarves and mittens for the homeless. Free, basic crochet and knitting patterns are being provided and finished items will be col-lected in the Atrium until December 15th, when they will be collected and distributed to those in need in time for Christmas. If you are unable to actually produce items, but you have yarn you could donate for other knitters/crochet-ers please leave it in the donation box. Sligo church will become a site for Young Life in this area starting in the spring. We are currently seeking people of any age who are willing to be mentors. A free 8-week train-ing will be provided.
