A Brief History

A Brief History

In November 2010, TEA and TTCriders released a report on the environmental benefits of the TTC, with key recommendations for the TTC and the new Council.

A Brief History

A Brief History

What has TTCriders done?

• On Feb 2nd – an official “snow day” in Toronto - more than 100 TTC riders went to City Hall to speak up for keeping needed bus routes and demand the TTC build more transit, not less”

• This was by all accounts the biggest and longest TTC meeting in their history!

Feb 2nd TTC Meeting

What else has TTCriders done?

• Since December 1, 2010 when Mayor Ford announced he wanted “Transit City” dead, we have knocked on more than 50,000 doors throughout our City and engaged thousands of Torontonians on important TTC issues.

What else has TTCriders done?

• So far more than 15,000 emails have been sent to the Mayor, City Councillors, Toronto MPPs, and other decision-makers – demanding for more and better transit for our City and asking our elected leaders not to abandon improvements to our public transit network.

What else has TTCriders done?

• Because of YOUR efforts, we have now collected more than 20,000 letters for our elected reps demanding more and better public transit for all corners of our City!
