“Mike McManus-Veteran Services Officer”

Mike McManus is responsible for managing the Veteran Services Office (VSO) and its staff. The primary mission of the VSO is

advocating on behalf of Ventura County’s 40,000 veterans, as well as the 10,000 military personnel in the county and their families. The office connects veterans with their federal and state VA benefits, as

well as with local resources.

A “Question and Answer” period will take place at the conclusion of the televised meeting. This presentation is part of the Council on Aging’s monthly televised speaker series. All citizens are

invited to attend and encouraged to share announcements, concerns, or suggestions during the Public

Comment period.

MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM

The Mileage Reimbursement Program (MRP) is a free program available to Ventura County Residents who are ages 65+ and no longer driving. Must complete an application and go through the

eligibility and determination process. Under this program, the applicant must provide their own eligible driver which can be a

family member, friend, or neighbor who is driving them to appointments and errands within Ventura County. Please contact Mobility Management Partners: 888-667-7003 with any
