October 2019 COSTUME 101 Costume Fees for our 2020 Production and Gymnastics Showcase will be added to your account on October 11th. All fees are due no later than November 9th. Please DO NOT PAY these fees online. They must be paid in person with Cash, Check, or Credit Card. Fees paid online will be applied to future tuition; payments will not be refunded. Why are we collecting fees in November for Spring shows, you ask? Many companies take up to 12 or more weeks to produce cost umes. We measure the students in November and begin ordering costumes right away. Our goal is to get them back in time to distribute them for the group pictures that are featured in our program book. Costumes are $50 to $70 per costume. They will be added to your account on October 11th, so please make sure your classes are properly listed on your portal. If you'd like a more accurate estimate of your costume fees, please see the website under Tuition and Fees. Lastly, costume fees are non-refundable. Tuition for the full season must be paid to receive costumes in the spring. PIZZA KITS SCRATCH & GIVE IMPORTANT DATES Our Little Caesars Pizza Kit Costume Fundraiser is well underway! This is a fundraiser for your costume fees and MCDF! For each item you sell, $3.00 is applied toward your costume fees. Orders are due Saturday October 19th. We do not accept checks. Supporters may also order online. Make sure they list the dancer as seller. The pick up day is Thursday November 7th between noon and 7PM. Please make arrangements for pick up. This is the easiest fundraiser ever! Raise money for your gymnastics costume and/or tuition while raising money for the MCDF Flip Factory expansion! For a $25 donation to the Gymnastics Program, you will receive a fundraising card. Each card has scratch off values equal to $100. (That?s a $75 profit for parents to use towards gymnastics costumes and/or monthly tuition). Simply bring in the donations and we will apply the money toward your account. Alfred Bruce Bradley, performing art ist and

educator, is a Flint Michigan nat ive, father of

four and proud grandfather who resides in

the Flint area with his wife Sherry. Mr.

Bradley is the founder of Tapology Tap

Fest ival for Youth, The Flintstone Hoofers

and co-founder of Creat ive Expressions

Dance Studio. Mr. Bruce has been teaching

at Motor City Dance Factory for over 10

years. Bradley is a graduate of Alabama

State University where he earned a Bachelor

of Arts degree and began his theatrical

t raining. Upon returning to the Flint area

after college he became act ively involved

with the McCree Theatre as a performing

art ist . As a result of his work through the

McCree Theatre he was given the

opportunity to work professionally in the hit

Off Broadway musical ?One Mo Time? in the

lead role as Papa Du which resulted in an

extended run at The Village Gate in Toronto,

Ontario. It was in Toronto that Bradley

began learning how to tap. Other notable

performance experiences would include the

off Broadway musical ?Staggerlee?, ?Rollin

With Stevens and Stewart?, ?A Raisin In The

Sun?, the Broadway hit musical ?Black and

Blue? it?s world tour in which he teamed with

his mentor and teacher, the late great Lloyd

Storey from Detroit , MI to perform the

?Class Act?. He has performed ?David

Danced For The Lord? from Ellington?s

Sacred Works with the Duke Ellington

Orchestra at the Cleveland Tri City Jazz

Fest ival. Mr. Bradley can be seen as a regular

in the Flint Inst itute Of Music?s product ion

of ?The Nutcracker? as Droselmeyer and is

also a member of the Flint Inst itute of

music?s Jubilee Chorale singers. His

Advanced and Intermediate tap classes

meet on Fridays from 6PM -8PM . Adults

with tap experience are welcome!
