We are SO excited about the BRAND NEW updated Alpha Youth Series Withan increasing number of young people searching for answers and meaningas they look at the current world around them Alpha continues to look for waysto respond to this need As a result Alpha has created a brand Alpha YouthSeries to engage young people in conversations about life faith and God

Launched this past week on October 1 2017 the Alpha Youth Series covers allthe familiar Alpha topics including Who is Jesus and How can we have faithand will be offered to churches schools and youth groups as an alternative tothe traditional Alpha talks

The new Alpha Youth Series has been updated rewritten and redesigned withstronger clearer content more dynamic visuals and motion graphics as well asinterviews testimonies and insight from countries all around the world makingit relevant to young people everywhere

Nicky Gumbel pioneer of Alpha and vicar of HTB Church in London said I amso excited about the Alpha Youth Series We want to make it easy for youngpeople to say to their friends Come and see and offer an opportunity toexplore the meaning of life in an informal and non-threatening way

Whats new about the series

The original Alpha Youth Film Series wasintroduced in 2013 and it has been moresuccessful than we could have imaginedDue to its success we realized weneeded something more global morediverse and more relatable to youngpeople today

Key elements of the new series is the addition of interviews and insight frommore countries around the world as well as updated and more dynamic visualreferences and stories aiming to inspire

Youth Culture moves fast which is why we are updating the Series Someonewho was 11 when the first series was released would be 1718 now Life haschanged significantly now for them We want youth to be proud to invite theirfriends and for it to feel relevant for their time

It took roughly $300k Canadian Dollars to create the old one and we have builton that investment and spent $17 million Canadian Dollars for the new one All to then give it away for free to the church

So WHY run this new Series

Its a way for teens to meet

Strategy with Youth

We are targeting Youth Pastors andLeaders because if they get the visionthey can empower their youth

The advice is run just one episode withthe kids in your youth group but only oneThen release the kids to invite their friendsand use the rest of the series as anevangelization tool

For churches that are looking for adiscipleship tool Alpha is all about sharingyour faith and the discipleship part is theChristian kids learning to have aconversation about their faith

Eventually we hope that youth will beempowered to take AYS and run it in theirschools Christian youth are likeindigenous missionaries in theirmiddlehigh schools This is a greatresource to put in their hands
