She hails from a long line of cooks and operated her family’s Creole restaurant in Treme for several years during the 1990′s. The demonstration uses live music and a cooking demo to show how gumbo is a perfect metaphor for jazz, and vice versa. 2:00-3:00 pm New Orleans Jazz Museum Vocalist Cole Williams performs with her band at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.
