Pride Week October 3rd through October 7th is Pride Week!! Show your Brummer Pride and join in the events
each day. Monday wear your PJs and Slippers. Tuesday is Look A Like Day (dress up as a twin with
someone else, dress up as a "star", or dress up as someone special like mom or dad). Wednesday is
Crazy Hair Day. Thursday will be Favorite Team Day, and Friday is Electronics Day.
During Pride Week, we will also be having a Penny Drive. Each class will have a bucket placed by
their classroom door for Pennies or Dollars to be dropped into. Dollars count as 100 Pennies!!
However, other classes can sabotage your class by putting silver coins into your bucket. If
somebody puts a quarter into your bucket, your class loses 25 pennies towards their count for
the day. Each morning the class with the most pennies collected the day before will be
announced.
Monday the classroom with the highest total of Pennies collected will be announced.
Breaking News!!!!
The class that collects the most pennies for the week will have a
BLIZZARD Party on Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!! Yippee! Halloween will be here before we know it!
Our Halloween Parade is scheduled on Monday, October 31
st, at
2:30 p.m., and will start in the kindergarten classrooms. The parade will wind through the building and end up
dropping off students in the order in which we picked them up. We do ask that students save their costumes for the
afternoon, which includes makeup, as well. After lunch students will be encouraged to dress up in their costumes,
use makeup and any other activity that gets them ready for the parade. Needless to say, weapons of any kind are not
allowed, along with masks. Since we are an elementary school with children ages 5-11, we ask that the costumes not
be gory with any blood. Those are appropriate for Halloween Night, just not for our school parade/party. Please
come and join us for the parade and the classroom parties that follow! If you have any questions regarding the
appropriateness of your child’s costume, please feel free to have him/her bring it into the office for review!
