Our TeachersOur academic team is made up of extremely dedicated and motivated individuals. The majority are native speakers with considerable teaching experience, spanning across all levels and different course types. All our core teachers are highly qualified, and are in possession of either the Celta, CertTESOL, or even higher qualifications such as the MA ELT. They are employed not only for their teaching abilities, but also for their communicative skills and empathy with our students.

Our MethodWe aim to continually develop students’ ability in English, focusing on all the four skills. Attention is also given to grammar and vocabulary, with particular emphasis being made on conversation and pronunciation. We believe that a solid foundation in the rules of the language provides a springboard for effective communication, which is a key element during each lesson.

Our ResourcesWe provide the most up to date tools and resources, using the latest cutting edge technology in our classrooms and incorporating them in the lessons. Our course books are modern and offer recent, relevant material to students’ interests, whilst providing a structured plan of studies irrespective of whether students are here for a week or one year.

One to one & Two to one Courses The ideal choice for those students who want to make the most out of their language learning experience during a short length of time. Individual focus and maximum flexibility offer students the opportunity to work with their teacher on their specific weaknesses on a programme tailored to their individual needs.

Students discuss their aims and objectives with their tutor, who will then plan the course and prepare materials according to the students’ preference. The teacher adapts to the student’s learning style in order to facilitate learning, which together with continuous monitoring assures a steady, continuous progress and a high sense of achievement. Students can book up to 40 lessons per week.

Exam Preparation Courses Cambridge, IELTS & TOEFL are English language qualifications recognised by hundreds of universities, colleges and employers across the globe. These exams assess your ability to communicate effectively in English and provide you with the preparation and confidence you need to use English in your academic and professional life.

Cambridge exams are specifically targeted at five different levels, ranging from Pre-Intermediate to Proficiency. IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, while TOEFL is the Test of English as a Foreign Language.

All Exams measure your ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. IELTS and TOEFL Certifications are valid for 2 years.

An Exam Preparation course at Chamber College will provide you with the opportunity to reach your goals. Courses start ideally a minimum of 8 weeks before exam dates, in order to make sure students become familiar with exam techniques and skills before sitting for the actual Exam. The teachers on the course specialise in training students for exam taking. From the beginning of the course, students are carefully monitored to ensure that they are progressing to the required standard. Students receive training and language practice covering every area of the exam, and regular timed practice tests are incorporated in the course. Teachers constantly assess and support students to help them maximise their potential to succeed in their final examination.

Business English Course English for Specific Purposes (ESP) The perfect option for professionals who require English on the job, want to work in an international environment, or need to improve their skills in order to advance in their career.

Courses offer a balanced mix of grammar, vocabulary, soft skills and language needed to gain the edge and confidence required to use English for work and open new doors for your career. Depending on your needs, improve fluency and accuracy in order to become a more efficient communicator, practice making small talk as well as negotiating, or learn how to deliver an effective presentation.

Sailing Package: This sailing course is for those students who want to learn the first basic steps of this enjoyable and challenging sport, and become a dinghy sailor. After completing the course, students are expected to be able to indicate the main sailing boat parts and rigging equipment - and sail a triangular course in a mono sail (topper or topaz) in light to moderate conditions, all under supervision. An ISSA certificate of attendance will be awarded to the successful students. Diving Package: The *Professional Association of Diving Instructors is the world’s largest and most popular diving training organisation. This certification is recognised at diving centres worldwide and you will learn to dive safely to a depth of 18m with a buddy. Throughout the course, you’ll learn the theory of scuba diving, extend your knowledge of diving equipment and improve your diving skills. You will enjoy 4 open water dives to mark the beginning of your diving experience. For the more seasoned divers, we also offer the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver courses for the ultimate diving challenge.

Golf Package: Learn to play golf or improve your golfing skills with this combined English and Golf course. The course is spread over 4 days with students having 2 hours of golf training each day. Golf lessons are given by Malta’s National Golf Coach at the exclusive Royal Golf Club.

Host families Our host families are rigorously selected to make sure that they will be a second ‘home away from home’ for our students. They are chosen on the basis of their openness to newcomers and their ability to provide their guests with all the facilities they are used to within their own homes. Students take an active part in the daily lives of the families, be it by having a chat about what went on during their day over a meal or enjoying a relaxing film on TV in the evening. Students have the option of booking this accommodation on a bed and breakfast, half board or full board basis.
