Andrew Arsenault comes to class on a daily basis with a genuine excitement to learn. While others groan sarcastically at names like Emerson and Thoreau, Andrew

perks up, excited for the opportunity to engage with new ideas. Additionally, Andrew often poses thought-provoking questions during class discussion. He is hard-working in all that he does, academically and otherwise. Moreover, Andrew understands the true meaning of empathy and teamwork. He works well with and encourages all of his peers

OCHS advanced dance students took a trip to experience dance in NYC. Thirty students joined Mrs. Morrison to the Broadway Dance Center to take a jazz dance class with professional choreographer, Eric Campros. After the intense class they were lucky enough to have tickets to the newest Tony Award winning Broadway show, “Anastasia.” It was a life changing trip and everyone had a blast!

Photo Club's project - "HUMANS AND THEIR ONE VALUE" took off on February 6. Students are creating photographic series of Humans (over 65 at this moment) and One Thing of Value, person would take if they have to leave their house forever. Our first volunteer humans were Norma Wing and Jeri Breish. We are hoping for this project to involve older and later on much younger humans in order to get a feel of how life experiences change what we value. Please, if you know anyone over 65 who would like to participate in this project contact Mrs. A. Palmer - Photography Club Adviser.

OC's Got Talent For another great year the OCHS Key Club had a great OC's Got Talent making it our 7th annual event! The event took place on Friday, February 9th and was a smashing success raising over $2,500 for the Children's Miracle Network of Philadelphia. The other money that we raised is split to fund our senior scholarships. Our show consisted of 16 amazing acts from exquisite piano songs to exceptional singers to tin foil flutes. After the judges talked it was announced by MC's Matthew Catonoso and Korey Greene that the results were in. In 3rd place was Ocean City's very own Winter Guard who spun their flags to the Incredibles Theme! Second place was Sarah Ruth who sang "I Dreamed a Dream" (from Les Miserable) as last year’s reigning winner. Finally, in first place was the amazing freshman Hannah Carr who sang beautifully for the audience. To conclude, the Tin Foil Flute Gang was a crowd favorite winning the People's Choice Award. The event ended up being a huge success raising above and beyond our goals. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and our seniors will greatly thrive in this success.
