Thank you for downloading!!These resources and activities utilize thinking maps to help teach the following common core math standards: K.OA.4 For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number.K.NBT.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones.

pg. 3-6 Making 10 circle map (2 versions of numbers for differentiation)pg. 7-10 Brace maps for teen numbers. Teacher mat for whole group use and student response sheets (pg 10 is blank for customization). The purpose of this activity is for the students to break teen numbers up into 10 and another number and visualize this concept in terms of part-part-whole thinking. pg. 11-16 Number bonds with 10. Teacher mat for whole group and differentiated student response sheets (pg. 12 and 16 were left blank for customization) ( As far as I know number bonds are not technically thinking maps but I chose to include this activity with this product because I think they are valuable)
