Registration fees: Pre-registration via mail or e-mail $4.00 per animal - no matter what breed/class/type/size. Day of show entry $5.00 per animal - no matter what breed/class/type/size Registration changes $1.00 per animal - no matter what breed/class/type/size Checks are to be made payable to OC 4-H Noah’s Ark Pet Pals. E-mail registration must pay upon arrival to show. All returned checks will be subject to bank fees. No refunds on scratches. Deadlines: Mail in registration must be postmarked on or before Dec. 30th, 2016. Email registration permitted up to midnight, Jan. 11th. Payment due upon arrival to Show.

There will be a light breakfast & a variety of homemade lunch items available, as well as snacks and hot & cold beverages.

Judging: • This is a 4-H show. It is expected that the 4-H members will write for the judges. • In addition to usual recognized breeds, there will be also classes for Mismarked Dutch & mixed

breed rabbits & cavies • ARBA standards & 4-H guidelines will be followed for judging. • There will be no judging for best of variety/class. • The judge’s decisions are final.

Show Rules: • All exhibits must be shown by a 4-Her, not a parent. Also, all animals must be carried to & from the

table, by the 4-H member. • Exhibitors are responsible to be at the show table when their breed is called. • This is a carrying cage show. Please bring your own cages with leak proof bottoms. • If there are multiple small animals in the carrier, the exhibitor must be with the animals at the time of

judging to identify the animals to the judge. • If there is any harassing of the judge, writers or staff, the offending member’s animal will be removed

from the judging table and awards will be forfeited. This is a learning experience and should be seen as such.

• Animals in questionable health are not permitted in the showroom. Please check your animals for sickness before you come to the show. There will be no refunds on sick animals.

• There is no smoking permitted in the building. • No animals are permitted the bathroom. • We assume no responsibility for losses in case of fire, theft, or permanent destruction. Every

precaution will be taken to prevent loss and insure your safety. • Parents will be responsible for their children’s behavior. If there is any damage to township property,

the parents will be held accountable. Please supervise your children. Animal Coop Numbers: You will get your animals’ coop numbers on the remark card on the day of the show. Rabbits must have their coop # marked in their right ear with black marker, IF no tattoo or tattoo is illegible. Cavies must have their coop # taped to their right ear IF there is no ear tag. Small animals must have their coop # attached to their carrier.

. Fun Contests:

• Judged Showmanship - $1.00/member – bring lab coat or white collared shirt. Judging will follow Showmanship standards set by ARBA. To register for Rabbit OR Cavy Showmanship, the enclosed form must be included with entries. No day of show entry for Showmanship.

• Rabbit Breed ID contest • Judging Contest – for 4th – 13th grades. • 4-H Challenge – Test yourself on your knowledge of rabbits, cavies and small animals and 4-H!

Awards: The following awards will be presented

• Best in Show & Best Reserve in Show for rabbit & cavy • Best of Breed & Best Reserve of Breed for rabbits and cavies • Best of Group for Small Animals (ex. Best hamster, best ferret) • Best of all the Small Animals and Best Reserve of all Small Animals. • There will be no best of variety/class • Cloverbuds will receive special participation ribbons and provided learning comments from the

New Jersey 4-H Code of Conduct

The primary purpose of the New Jersey 4-H Code of Conduct is to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at 4-H sponsored events and activities. It applies to all participants, with participants defined as 4-H members, their parents, and volunteers.

As a participant in the 4-H program, I will:

• Conduct myself in a courteous manner and treat members, parents, 4-H volunteers, Extension staff, judges and others with respect. Appropriate language and behavior are expected at all times.

• Respect and adhere to the rules and guidelines of the 4-H program including all those specific to a 4-H event or activity.

• Uphold an individual’s right to dignity by supporting an environment of inclusion which welcomes involvement of participants from all backgrounds.

• Accept supervision and support from county and state 4-H staff while participating in the 4-H program. This includes acceptance of supervision and support from appointed 4-H volunteers coordinating 4-H events and activities.

• Obey local, state and federal laws.

Participants who fail to adhere to the New Jersey 4-H Code of Conduct are subject to a range of disciplinary actions. Such actions will be taken in compliance with the New Jersey 4-H Discipline Policy and Procedure. When appropriate, immediate corrective action will be taken at the 4-H event to ensure the safety and welfare of all participants.

I understand if I fail to adhere to the above Code of Conduct, I will be subject to disciplinary action and potentially prohibited from attending and participating in the New Jersey 4-H Youth Development program.

Can enter parking lot from Chambers Bridge or Sprucewood Blvd. Coming from the North … GSP South to exit 91. Bear right after toll plaza, towards 549 south. (This ramp puts you on Chambers Bridge Rd.) Go thru 8 traffic lights. Brick Civic Center is on the right, before Sprucewood Blvd. traffic light.
