OBMA Notes OB Oktoberfest – we have a few vendor spots available for
Saturday 10/8/16. Give us a call. We are part of Archtoberfest, put on by the AIA, during the month
of October. Resurfacing of Newport Ave. We don’t know when it will happen, but it will
probably happen in late Oct. or Nov. We’ll keep all our members updated as more information becomes available.
We are working on refurbishing our holiday decorations. Design Committee is putting together a plan to replace our
aging trash cans along Newport Avenue as part of the Newport Avenue Maintenance Assessment District upgrades. You may also have noticed that in the last few months another 10 cribs around the palm trees have been installed. Slowly but surely, we will replace all of them. It will probably take another year or so.
Promo Committee is working on a new ornament to celebrate the Pier’s 50th birthday and upgrading holiday decorations.
Thank you to those property owners and business owners who have contributed to the OB Security Program in the commercial districts in Ocean Beach. If you haven’t had a chance to make a contribution, please contact the OBMA office at 619-224-4906. We will be happy to make you part of the solution.
Donations made to the library for their 100th birthday bash: $500, postage to mail 500 postcards for Friends of the Library “Save the Date” - $250, and refurbishing the urns in front of the Library - approximately $400. The OBMA is proud to support the Friends of the OB Library.
Please join us for the September 2016 OBMA Sundowner Hosted by
