D-CODE

D-Code. The key to elegance in the bathroom. Of course, good design isn’t everything, but all the same a well-designed object makes life more pleasant. All the more so if it is affordable. D-Code from Duravit is a new kind of bathroom range – complete from washbasin to towel rail, consistently designed throughout and excellent value for money. Its appearance is restrained, featuring rectangular forms with rounded edges – the classic washbasin shape, in fact, that does not impose itself but rather blends with its surroundings. This is what makes D-Code so timelessly modern – a hallmark of good design. With alternatives and solutions for all imaginable bathroom situations, D-Code is a bathroom range that many people have been waiting for – including you perhaps.





FOSTER

Is it design or is it architecture? In any case, it is genuine Foster. Sensational, like all his work: Stansted Airport in London and Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong, the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank and the new German Reichstag. Once again, the architect and designer Norman Foster has excelled himself and created a bathroom suite that pushes the boundaries, which defines the bathroom anew. How has he done this? Quite simply. Two adjacent circles define the geometry of the whole range. Plus the archetype of two cupped hands scooping fresh water. Bathroom_Foster.





HAPPY D.2. REINTERPRETING AN ARCHETYPE.With its clean-cut architectural design, Happy D. has written bathroom history. The updated Happy D.2 is a complete bathroom solution that is just as chic, versatile and timelessly modern as its predecessor – and yet it’s also completely new. The washbasin is available as a furniture washbasin with matching vanity unit or with a metal console, as a surface-mounted washbasin and as a classic washbasin with pedestal or siphon cover. One of the basins, which features a curved rear rim, appears to float gently in its surroundings – creating the sense of weightlessness that translates throughout the series. Design right down the line. The classic rectangular Vero washbasin has made a name for itself amongst lovers of design and architecture. That's why, in addition to the 60 cm-wide washbasin, we are now introducing three new models measuring 50, 80 and an imposing 100 cm, whose pre-punched tap holes offer the possibility to mount one or two tap fittings. Interesting combinations can be created with Fogo or with the matching chrome console on two feet, which is height-adjustable and features a decorative rail that doubles up as a practical towel rail. New washbasins range Premium is the evolution of Catalano’s coherent, continuous and multifaceted design philosophy, that gave birth to some of the company’s masterpieces such as Verso, and Zero. Premium washbasins combine lightness and subtlety to a clean outline; its unmistakable square matrix gives a contemporary and versatile character to the whole range and make it perfect to fit many kind of installations and any setting



STAR

Star systems relaunches the constant experimentation to create products with perfect and smooth surfaces, with rigorous and extreme geometric shapes, by reducing the ceramic to its minimum thickness. This slimness represented a new technological challenge in pushing the boundaries of ceramic material manufacturing. Star washbasins are suitable for wall-hung, semi inset and or sit on installation and they can be combined with dedicated wall-hung WC and bidet or with the other ranges of Catalano’s catalogue.



ZERO

Zero is the first Catalano’s sanitary-ware wide range where products are all based on the “typological versatility “ concept. This revolutionary idea allows several solutions for products installation. Zero is made up of 15 washbasins, two pairs of wall-hung WCs and bidets, a space-saving wall-hung WC, a pair of floor mounted WC and bidet and a close-coupled WC. Zero washbasins can be combined with Verso WCs and bidets. The most emblematic products are also available in black finish.



VERSO

1930’S

1930 Series - The Renaissance of Classic ModernismIn 1930, Adolf Loos celebrated his sixtieth birthday. It was on this day that the great architect and father of modernism coined a remarkable phrase: ”The culture of a people is revealed by the nature of its washing amenities and toilets.” An incontrovertible affirmation of the importance of uncompromising interior design in the bathroom. Perhaps it was in championing this cause that Duravit was inspired to create a washbasin whose famous octagonal shape remains as modern today as it was 70 years ago.

Thomas Crapper & Co. are proud to present what might be termed our 'new' range of 'old' bathroom fittings. After more than eight years of intensive (and expensive) development and research, we offer a small yet extraordinarily authentic set of Victorian/Edwardian sanitaryware. It would have been so very easy to surrender to the demands of current production methods and the desire to reduce costs, but we remained obstinate in our insistence upon historical accuracy. Of course, modern methods and materials have been used where deemed appropriate, but only where they do not compromise the integrity of any piece. We view technology as our occasional slave, not our constant master. There have been no changes of design for economy or ease of production. Such very small alterations that have been made are solely to allow connection to modern plumbing. Frankly, we small band of enthusiasts, who had the privilege of acquiring this grand old firm, would not be inclined to rise each morning only to manufacture ordinary reproductions!

X-LARGE

X-Large - X-tra wide X-tremely differentJoe Average?: No thanks. Here is X-Large, the bathroom furniture range with a difference. Stylish natural colours in a cool look. Milk glass, backlit. Why X-Large? At up to 31 1/2”, the dimensions are almost twice as wide as those of conventional modular systems. Nevertheless: X-Large displays surprisingly elegant proportions and a lightness of appearance. And the vast program range enables individual bathroom design: even when the available budget is not X-tra large.

ESPLANADE Duravit has long collaborated with a

variety of designers to produce it’s

award winning bathroom furniture.

From the contemporary to the classic,

it’s range of sanitaryware can stand

on it own and very much apart from

the crowd. The Esplanade is no

exception. Designed by Sergei

Tchoban, who is well known in his

own right for design buildings and

architecture of distinguishing. This

collaboration is not an obvious one,

but has reaped rewards.

What is immediately apparent when you look at the

Duravit Onto, is the joining of form and

materials.Smooth strong lines and the blending of

ceramic and natural materials such as wood make

Supernova Let us take the sculptural quality of the fitting as the starting point for bathroom architecture. The result is an island in the room which places all of the functions and zones of the bathroom right at the very centre. A form of architecture which therefore becomes a solitary unit in itself. Upon closer inspection of the exposed design, it becomes clear that the high-gloss surfaces of the fittings constantly reflect the island's individual laguna-like water zones. It seems as though the fitting reflects the idea behind the architecture just as much as the architecture reflects the idea behind the fitting.

Deque The fitting’s minimalist shape as the source of the gentle presentation of water. Following the natural movement of water through the architecture takes you on a journey through the series’ different applications. Precise, geometric shapes create a monolithic landscape of chrome and matt black. Water becomes a stimulating element in this technoid-like design, and the water’s surface becomes part of the architecture.



Meta .02 Meta.02 stands for a high level of combinability and durability: a consistent reduction of form and volume, coupled with a high degree of aestheticising. But what makes Meta.02 such an excellent example of Dornbracht's design expertise is not just minimizing the size of the fitting and the use of materials, it is also the reduction in form.

In the kitchen, Meta.02 creates additional space for working and cooking because the modules of the fitting can be positioned anywhere you like. The mixer, spout and rinsing spray can be positioned exactly where you need them to be.



Madison/Madison Flair The classical form of Madison, with its separate 'hot' and 'cold' taps, is reminiscent of historical fittings at the start of the twentieth century. But it is not only those of us who are prone to nostalgia who go into raptures at the sight of the indulgent, traditional shapes. Because Madison combines a nostalgic charm with functional elements. The elegant cross-handles with their white porcelain elements stylise the classical, historical model. A touch of fin de siècle.



VOLA is manufactured by VOLA A/S a well established Danish company founded in 1873, owned and run by the Overgaard family.

The idea Shortly after Arne Jacobsen won a competition in 1961 for his design of the National Bank of Denmark he was contacted by the owner of VOLA A/S, Verner Overgaard who introduced his proposal for a new type of wall-mounted mixer tap. He imagined a design where all the mechanical parts of the mixer are hidden leaving only the handles and spout exposed. At the time this was a completely new concept, but Jacobsen realized that this idea combined with his functional approach to design could be developed. With that basic principle in mind, it was conceived the simple and concise VOLA design that we know today was conceived.

Since Jacobsen's death in 1971, Teit Weylandt, one of Arne Jacobsen's former assistants, and later on the design department of Aarhus Arkitekterne A/S along with VOLA Director Carsten Overgaard continued to introduce new products into the world of the famous VOLA range. Thus establishing VOLA as an international brand whilst keeping the original principles of excellent design and functionality.

The Aqua-Dec Floor Former provides the gradient in the floor to allow

efficient drainage. Once the floorboards have been removed in the showering

area, the Aqua-Dec simply slots into place, flush with the remaining

floorboards, supported by the joists and additional plywood panels. Aqua-Dec

Floor Formers can also be installed

in solid floors by simply chasing out

a recess in the floor and bedding

the Aqua-Dec on a cement mix.

The final stage is to fit the wetroom

screen, but you need to determine

the size and style of screen required

before fitting the wetroom floor.

No more mould - Are you fed up of grout - it takes a long time to apply, it’s a nightmare to clean and after a while it just goes mouldy. There’s no grout used with Mermaid panels, so that means no more mould.

Extra time - Mermaid panels are so much quicker to fit than tiles that it’ll save you money and the effort of getting someone in for long periods of time. Of course it also means that you’ll be without your bathroom for a lot less time, which is great. We don’t have anything against tilers though, so if you do want to use one, you can, it just won’t take them as long to fit a Mermaid panel as a wall of tiles.

INFRA-RED HEATING

Exclusive to Ocean Bathrooms, Redpur infra-red heating for energy saving and bespoke colours, designs and technology.

Our natural source of infrared heat is the sun. REDPUR infrared heaters provide comfortable radiant heat, which can be modelled on that of the sun rays. While conventional heating systems use the air as a medium for heat transfer, the "electromagnetic waves" of REDPUR infrared systems provide for raising the temperature of the solid bodies in the room. REDPUR keeps the walls dry and prevents mould growth due to condensation moisture. The heat radiation from the REDPUR infrared heating is absorbed by the room envelope, stored and re-delivered to other bodies. This creates a pleasant indoor climate, which is known for generations from tiled stoves. The walls remain dry and increase the calorific value. Moist spots and mildew are avoided. The evolutionary infrared heating systems REDPUR are available as the product series "Classic", "Exclusive" and soon "Premium". All series allow of course an individual choice of the Redpur heating elements in different sizes and with different performances.

The models "Classic" and "Premium" are available in the standard colour white. The REDPUR line "Exclusive" comes standard with black and white glass and is optionally available in different RAL colours. For the series "Classic" and "Premium" REDPUR also offers their own design programme for individual interior design with decorative printed design surfaces.

All infrared heaters from REDPUR are attached to walls or ceilings by a tension-free hidden click system with automatic mounting system and come with the 72-month REDPUR product warranty.

The REDPUR infrared heater in the bathroomIn the bathroom the REDPUR infrared heating is a particularly ideal solution. As an additional wellness factor, it provides for comfortable and constant infrared heat in the bathroom. The REDPUR infrared heating elements can be quickly and easily mounted on the ceiling or the walls of your bathroom and contribute through motif prints to the decorative design of your bathroom. The heating effect of infrared heatings is not due to the heating of the air, but to the heat storage in room surfaces, objects or bodies. Due to this principle a REDPUR infrared heater in the bathroom not only creates pleasant and constant wellness heat, but also protects the building structure by preventing mould and damp walls. The advantages of a REDPUR infrared heater in the bathroom at a glance:

• A REDPUR infrared heater operates without long heating times. Your personal comfort temperature for showering or bathing is reached after a few minutes and then kept constant.

Our "smart" thermostats ensure that power is only used when the temperature falls below the preset temperature value. BATHROOM PLANNING & INTERIOR DESIGN

Ocean Bathrooms has a team of inspired designers who work with some of the most unique designer products on the market & have worked on some unique products in Dorset, UK and Worldwide.

With our specialist design service we can tailor make your bathroom to your personal specification.

How It Works Following an on site measure-up of the room (or briefing with architects plans) from one of the design team, we then will create a vision of your perfect bathroom using the latest & best 3D Design software. Using this software we can place the exact bathroom equipment, tiles, accessories etc. you have chosen into the plan.From this we can also work out tile quantities, under floor heating, lighting and bespoke items.

Once all this has been completed the designer can then produce a selection of 3D Designs, Plans and Product specification to produce a detailed quotation.

Because we work closely with our installers, architects etc. we can supply them with plans, designs & fitting specifications .



SHOWROOM We currently have a fully working Flag Ship showroom in Dorset displaying the latest bathroom products fully working.

TECHNICAL TRAINING & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION We currently have a fully working Geberit frame display (one of 5 in the world) where we can show installers new products and how to install, end users the difference in flush plates and other products including a working sense wash from Duravit.



FITTING SERVICE We currently have fitters based in Dorset who install bathrooms for us all year round, they are small teams who are specialist bathroom installers.

All the teams offer the complete installation package including tiling, plumbing, building, electrics and carpentry.

All our fitters have been on specialist training courses for Impey Wetrooms, Hansgrohe and Duravit.

All of our fitters are project managed by Ocean Bathrooms at no extra cost.
