Little Rock is a city rich in musical & political cultures that are in need of a voice. Occupy Little Rock (OLR)is a developing political group that is dedicated to educating the public on current hot-button issues & thepursuit of solutions. There are many talented bands in Little Rock that deserve exposure but cannot competewith the entrenched commercial money-makers of the industry to seize radio play.

What both groups have in common is this: they are continuously downplayed & discredited by mainstreammedia yet have no large-scale outlet by which to bring the truth to the people of Little Rock.

Show Concept

Every show will feature music & interviews with only the best local/regional bands of all genres includingQuadkilleR, Burning The Past, The Toneados, Ferrous Patella, Amity & Oak, The Invisible Man, & countlessothers. At least two members of the featured band will be invited to the studio to discuss & showcase theirwork, provide an inside look at Little Rocks music scene, & promote upcoming performances.

In the same show, two members of OLR will be invited to explain to the listening audience the latest in thegroups developments as well as important new legislation such as Lake Maumelle Zoning & the DelticTimber Corp., The National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, The Return To Prudent Banking Act of2011, The Patriot Act, & more.

Towards the last fifteen minutes a third discussion will open between the four guests in the form of a Q&Asession. Telephone calls will be welcomed to provide listeners access to either group & will promoteinteraction between KABF & the public at large.

KABF 88.3 was created withthe idea to connect allthe people who have been

ignored by the commercialradio stations.

The purpose of this proposal is to outline a one-hour radio show that will place

KABF on the beating pulse of the citys rapidly evolving cultural dynamics,

specifically in regards to art & politics -- the foundations of civilized society.

Being The voice of the people, there is no more appropriate station for this

program than 88.3 KABF!

Underwriters

The show producer (Adam Lansky) & volunteers will be responsible for obtaining underwriting for theprogram. The goal for startup funding is set at $600 for a program schedule of TWO SHOWS PER WEEK(Tues & Thurs) for FOUR WEEKS at a quoted $75/hour of broadcasting. Possible underwriters includelocal businesses, local musicians, groups politically affiliated with OLR, sympathizers of OLR, & theproducer himself.
