occupational safety & health...
TRANSCRIPT
Occupational safety and health (OSH) is an area concerned with the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in work or employment. The goals of occupational safety and health programs include :-• fostering a safe and healthy work environment• protecting employers, employees, co-workers, family members and customers
WHY IT IS IMPORTANT?The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, was established in 1994 to encourage employees and employers to decrease workplace hazards. The Act recommends that both parties cooperatively establish workplace-specific safety standards and establishes training programs for occupational safety and health. The Act has sets safety and health standards for many work environments, and ensures that employers, manufacturer and employees comply with those standards. As such, CUCMS would like to propose FOUR effective modules on how to identify, access and control hazards that could cause serious physical injury or death at the place of work.
