Varlin F. BasinaDecember 17, 1934 - March 31, 2015

Varlin F. Basina, Sr., age 80, of Neopit, passed away on Tuesday, March 31,2015 at his home.

Varlin was born on December 17, 1934, in Keshena, the son of the late Francisand Iva (Peters) Basina.

On May 19, 1962, Varlin was united in marriage to Delia Wilber in Manitowoc.

He lived in the Keshena and Neopit area all his life and was a member of St. AnthonyCatholic Church in Neopit.

Varlin worked for J.I. Case in Wausau for 25 years before retiring.

He enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, fishing and making maple syrup.

Varlin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delia, five children, Marlin (Karla)Basina of Keshena, Deena Basina of Keshena, Julie (Tony) Basina of Milwaukee,Varlin (Shelly) Basina, Jr. of Keshena and Bart (Lynn) Basina, Sr. of Crandon,17 grandchildren including four special grandchildren whom he and Delia raised,Bart, Jr., Amado, Breyen and Jamie (Aaron), and 15 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the BasinaResidence, N1613 Highway 47, Neopit WI with Rev. David McElroyO.Praem officiating.

Visitation will be held at the residence after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April2, 2015 until the time of the service on Saturday.
