Dallas Bozworth Dallas L. Bozworth, 74, of Cairo died Oct. 9 at Daystar Care Center in Cairo. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Services and interment will be private. Born May 5, 1962, in Jackson, MS., Lisa was a server for many years at Pizza by the Pound and formerly Stacey’s Restaurant in Paducah. She was a member of West End Baptist Church, Loyal Order of the Moose, and Lone Oak Baseball Boosters. She was a proud, wonderful mother, a loyal friend, and will be missed by all. She is survived by her loving son, Tyler, of Lone Oak; mother, Bernice Loving of Lone Oak; sister, Dena Rice and husband, Wayne, of Burns, TN.; nephew, David Rice of Garden Grove, CA.; aunts, uncles and cousins in Carroll County, TN., and many, many friends in McCracken County. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Loving. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Lilliam Meacham by Staff report Lilliam Cami “Leigh” Meacham, 56, of Oslo, Norway, formerly of Bandana and Louisville, Kentucky, died June 12 at Lovisenberg Hospital in Oslo. She was born October 15, 1955, attended Ballard County High School and graduated from Southern High School in Louisville in 1973. She attended Bethany College, the University of Louisville and the University of Oslo. She retired as a Purser and Cabin Chief of Busy Bee of Norway Airlines. She was known in Oslo as “The Airport Girl” as she contributed greatly to the opening of the Oslo Airport. She served as Past President of the Norway Flight Attendants Union and was fluent in English, Norwegian and Spanish languages. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Virginia Colvin Meacham-Hochbaum of Bandana; several uncles; aunts; cousins; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doris and Ella V. Burnley Colvin, and James and Josephine Meacham; her father, Cameron Meacham; and her stepfather, David K. Hochbaum. Graveside memorial services were Oct. 15 with the Rev. J. Gottman officiating. He is survived by his wife, Holly Harrell; two daughters, Tara Harrell of Cairo and Megan Smith of Jackson, Mo.; three brothers, Bruce Harrell and Mike Davis, both of Cairo, and Stevie Farris of McClure, Ill.; six sisters, Robbie Cruse of Paducah, Tena Dodd of Cairo, Lesa McClain and Jenny Dean, both of Wickliffe, Tracey Franklin of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., and Trava Moss of St. Paul, Minn., and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother; two sisters. His parents were George and Elaine Harrell. Kenneth Rollins by Staff report Kenneth H. Rollins, 89, of Greencastle, Ind., died Oct. 9. He was born on Sept. 14, 1923, in Charleston, Missouri, to William Egbert Rollins and Olga Corinne Malone Rollins. Kenny was a 1941 graduate of Wickliffe High School. He attended the University of Kentucky from 1941 until 1943 where he started on the ’42 Varsity Basketball team and played on the Baseball team. He left UK in 1943 to serve in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, Kenny played basketball under coach Tony Hinkle and was stationed at Great Lakes, Memphis, San Diego, and Hollister. In 1946 he returned to UK and was named the UK MVP his junior year. During his junior and senior years, he served as Captain of the team. Kenny was part of the Fabulous 5 who won UK’s first NCAA championship in 1948. Kenny was part of the 1948 Olympic Team, which won the Gold in London, this also was his proudest moment in life. Returning to the United States, he was drafted as a point guard by the BAA Ft. Wayne Pistons, traded to the Chicago Stags, and was named 1948-49 Rookie of the Year. After two seasons in Chicago, he went on to coach and play with the Louisville Aluminites, until being picked up by the NBA Boston Celtics, where he played for 1½ years. He was also pursued by the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds baseball farm teams. In 1995, Ken was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame and in 2006 he was inducted into the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame. During his career in the packaging industry, Kenny lived in Louisville, Grand Rapids, Mich., Lexington, Evansville, and Lawrenceburg, where he retired in 1986 from the Smurfit Corporation. He and his wife, Mabel, retired to Bradenton, Florida, in 1994. Mabel preceded Kenny in death in 1996. Kenny relocated to Greencastle in 2004 to live with his son. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington, where he served as a deacon, Sand Springs Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, the Kentucky Alumni Association, and served as past vice-president of the K-men’s Association. Surviving are his children, Kevin Rollins and wife Vickie of Greencastle and Corinne Nelson and husband Jim of North Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Phil Rollins of Louisville; three grandchildren, Bruce Lee Keenon and wife Beth, Jennifer Rollins, and Benjamin Rollins and wife Calli; one great-grandson, Matthew Keenon; numerous nieces; nephews; and an abundance of UK fans. Kenny loved to sing, especially hymns and special music at church. He delighted in the honor of singing “My Old Kentucky Home” at Rupp Arena during Senior Day in 1996. A Celebration of Kenny’s Life will be held Oct. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the K-House located at 1398 Sports Center Drive in Lexington. Inurnment will be held on Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. at Lexington Cemetery Columbarium. Memorials in Kenny’s name may be directed to: the University of Kentucky General Scholarship Fund; or the University of One’s Choice. He is survived by four daughters, Carmen Cunningham of Bardwell, Ginger Burnett of Melber, Kaye Futral of Smithland, and Jeanette Burnett of Melber; one sister, Gladys Reis of Mayfield; one brother, Eston Sheffield of Cunningham; 19 grandchildren; 45 great- grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Sheffield; two granddaughters; and three sisters. His parents were Virgil and Gracie Walters Sheffield.
