Minimum of 20 OB cases required for the OBGYN Oral Boards for ABOG. For GYN you must enter everyone you did surgery on. For OB can patient you delivered is counted as your patient. Don't add too many normal births to the list. Every Induction should be mentioned on the case list. If you have a significant percentage of your patients receive Pitocin augmentation put them on. Always good to have your Oral Board Case list review by experts so they can help you.TRANSCRIPT
Entering OB & GYN Cases On The List
How many OB or GYN cases should I be entering?Should I be entering all the cases or just enough to fill my numbers and a few more?
Minimum requirement: You need 20 cases that
countOnly the first 2 cases in
each category will count towards that minimum number of 20
Maximum requirement for GYN:You need to enter every
patient you did surgery on
Every non-surgical admission that you did
Ex: PID, TOA, Ectopic
Medical records will be checked and you don’t want to be missing somethingYou don’t have much leeway at all
For OBAny patient you delivered
