Pall to buy ATMI’s LifeSciences business
Pall Corp has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire
ATMI Inc’s LifeSciences business for US$185 million.
ATMI LifeSciences specialises in single-use bioprocess systems and consumables for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
“This acquisition immediately strengthens our offering and broadens our already extensive portfolio of advanced solutions for biopharmaceutical customers,” said Pall chairman and CEO Larry Kingsley.
ATMI CEO Doug Neugold added: “We are very happy to have Pall as the new owner of this business, and believe the fit and their capabilities will accelerate its growth and provide great support to our customers.”

Oasys Water expands to support growing demand
Forward osmosis specialist Oasys Water has expanded its global
sales force and facility space at its corporate headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
“To keep pace with the increasing demand for our products worldwide and to accommodate new products on the horizon, we have grown our commercial team and our research, development and manufacturing facilities,” said Jim Matheson, president and CEO of Oasys Water. “By strengthening the team and capabilities, we will be well positioned to maintain a leadership role in developing and deploying technologies to treat the world’s most difficult waters.”
Oasys Water has doubled its office space in Boston and expanded its research and development area allowing the company to increase its capabilities to test challenging waters, develop new membrane chemistries and processes, and test larger scale system configurations. The company has grown its team of employees by more than 50% across sales, marketing, engineering, research and manufacturing.
During 2013, Oasys closed a Series B financing from strategic investors and announced partnerships in the Chinese water market and in the global oil and gas produced water market. Oasys filed more than 45 patent applications worldwide last year, giving a total of 184 pending applications. The company had eight patents issued in 2013, bringing the total issued globally to 22.

Mac Process and Schenck AccuRate merge
Mac Process, the North American supplier of
pneumatic conveying and air filtration systems, and Schenck AccuRate, a manufacturer of dry material feeders and weighing technologies, have officially merged, integrating their operations in North America under the name Schenck Process LLC.
Both companies are part of the global Schenck Process Group.
Schenck Process LLC’s manufacturing will continue in Whitewater, Wisconsin and Sabetha, Kansas, while the company headquarters will be based in Kansas City, Missouri.
“We look forward to the growth and profitability that the combined business will provide, along with new opportunities for our customers, employees and independent representatives,” said Jay Brown, Schenck Process LLC president and CEO. “This is an exciting step for the Schenck Process Group in North America.
