Oakmont Delivers a Piece of the Pie to Local Alzheimer's Organizations During the holidays, each Oakmont community hosted a bake sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting organizations that work to find a cure to Alzheimer’s. Our talented culinary teams prepared decadent pies for seasonal celebrations in support of this effort. We are pleased to report that company wide, nearly 700 pies were sold, which resulted in $3460 in funds raised for Alzheimer’s organizations. We hope that you had the opportunity to enjoy one of Oakmont’s delicious pies; thank you to all those who participated. Happy New Year to all of our residents and families, we look forward to continuing to serve you in 2019!

Gauguin: A Spiritual Journey at the de Young Museum Thursday, February 7th, 10:00 am in San Francisco This exceptional display of more than fifty Gauguin paintings, wood carvings, and ceramics from the renowned collections of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen, will be on view for the first time in San Francisco.

Experience

We are pleased to introduce Karen Kissick, our Business Office Director. Karen has been with Oakmont Senior Living for six years. She started at Varenna as Concierge and transferred to the Lodge two years ago as Business Office Director. With a Bachelors in business administration and an MBA, she enjoys financial accounting. We are lucky to have Karen at the Lodge. She is dedicated and positive. Growing up in Woodside, she developed a lifelong love for horses and she continues to ride on the weekends. Karen has two sons. Robert is a local business owner in the craft beer industry and Sam is in the UC Berkeley Department of Physics as a PhD student.

She is extremely proud of her sons. Thank you Karen, for all that you do!
