On Friday, July, 15, 2011 we went out

to our pond in the courtyard.

We fed the fish and took pictures of the

fish. Some fish were big and some fish

were small.

I saw many fish in the pond. I saw lily

pads too.

Mrs. Miller–Ivy‟s class made a fruit salad

Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in their classroom. A fruit

salad is a healthy snack.

They used pineapples, grapes, strawberries,

bananas, and yogurt.

“This is a fun and nutritious snack that chil-

Fitness at Oakdale‟s Summer Bridge Program.

BRIDGE CLASS UPDATES

On Thursday, July 14, 2011 Mrs. Jack „s class-

learned about tepees. Indians used tepees for shel-

ter.

Mrs Jack told me tepees are made out of buffalo

hide and wooden poles. I also learned that the state

of Oregon was a part of the wild, wild west.

The students were also doing multiplication prob-

lems using beans and tepees.

I asked Tyler why is he using beans. He said when

he uses the beans he can see and understand the

problem better.
