• Human services grants for programs like youth employment, immigrant services, autism support and addiction prevention

Progress for Illinois SB 1933 – Automatic Voter Registration. Establishes an automatic voter registration
system in Illinois by July 1, 2018.
HB 40 – Women’s Reproductive Health Coverage. Ensures abortion will remain legal in Illinois even if Roe v. Wade is overturned and allows Medicaid and state health plans to cover reproductive health care services.
SB 31 – TRUST Act. Seeks to foster trust between police agencies and immigrant communities by clarifying that local and state police officers are not required to comply with federal immigration efforts and creating safe zones for immigrants.
SB 1657 – Gun Dealer Licensing. Allows Illinois to license gun dealers to hold corrupt
dealers accountable while promoting better business practices.
HB 2373 – Expanding List of Sealable Offenses. Increases opportunities for ex-offenders, allowing all felony arrests to be sealed, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
SB 71 – Investment in Wind Energy. Amends the $2.2 billion Future Energy Jobs bill,
clearing the way for continued investment in wind energy in Illinois and promoting the new clean, green jobs economy.
SB 1: School Funding Reform
• Fixes broken school funding system and creates a fair, evidence-based formula to distribute funds.
• Distributes funds so that no district receives less than prior year.
• Directs additional funds to the districts and schools that need them the most.
• Funding Increase for Area Schools:
