Terminal 2 familiariza�on trainings started last February 1 for all external and internal stakeholders. It includes classroom training and a walkthrough of Terminal 2, and is mandatory for all Opera�ons staff.

Mactan Cebu Interna�onal Airport by Integrated Design Associates, Inc. is nominated in the Kohler Bold Design Awards 2017 under the Innova�on category. The design compe��on ‘serves as a pla�orm to showcase tomorrow’s best talents in the field of design and innova�on.

Eight airline partners showcased their services and new offers for Dabawenyos who are encouraged to travel through Mactan Cebu Interna�onal Airport (MCIA), being the natural gateway for Visayas and Mindanao.

Local carriers Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Philippines AirAsia and Air Swi�, as well as interna�onal carriers Cathay Pacific, China Eastern Airlines, EVA Air and Emirates joined the event. Par�cipants, which include travel agents, tour operators and hotels in the Davao region were also given the opportunity to do B2B networking with the said airlines. GMCAC Chief Execu�ve Advisor Andrew Harrison also gave a presenta�on on MCIA Terminal 2, set to open by June 1, 2018.

GMR-Megawide bags Clark Airport dealThe consor�um GMR Infrastructure Ltd from India and Megawide Construc�on Corp. won the bid for the construc�on of the new Clark Interna�onal Airport terminal, designed to handle 8 million passengers a year, or double the current capacity. They have recently signed the engineering, procurement and construc�on (EPC) contract together with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

The same consor�um is currently opera�ng the Mactan Cebu Interna�onal Airport by virtue of the government’s Public-Private Partnership program.
