A Ministry of Education, Innovations Funded Project: Piloted 2002 - 2004
This Wrap-Around ‘multi - systemic approach’ has now gained national recognition and considerable roll out.
This is evidenced through specific Policy development and implementation:
•2012 - The Ministry of Social Development’s White paper for vulnerable children addressing systemic failure in the Care and Protection of Children and Young persons.
•2011 - The Ministry of Education – Special Education Intensive Wraparound Services for the intensive behavioural support of children and youth with Special Educational Needs
•2008/9 – Having run a trial for Te Puni Kokiri – The Howpak Wrap-Around’s multi-systemic approach was implemented into the teen pregnancy units, funded by Te Puni Kokiri.

The need for capacity planning which reflects energy efficiencies and areas of impact
Options include high dollar contracting and do good for the remainder of the available time – in pursuit of purpose, new working paradigms and balancing life and family
Model created by Enspiral where professionals donate their time – means that ‘time becomes the model of enterprise’.
Enjoy the spirit of co-learning and co-creation to optimise learning
Acknowledging that The Howpak Wrap-Around can both cause & create change – whichever model is implemented.
Can know it but until you actually do it – To know and not to do is not to know!

There will always be the need to do things differently
There will always be a need for people of all ages and walks of life to make sense of their world and to co-construct knowledge and genuinely connect
The Howpak Wrap-Around has during the past ten years been very fortunate and had many brilliant opportunities to connect and provide vital space – to encourage pure, ‘essential space’ between things, creating the opportunity for ‘purposeful pauses’ …….
Creating opportunities for children, youth, their families to reconnect, provide opportunities for communities to heal and have voice.
