Attention muzzle break users. Some concerns have been raised about the disturbance to other shooters muzzle break utilising rifles are making on the rifle range. Given that the muzzle blast is directed sideways and not forward when using a break and taking into account the concrete block walls at the shooting bays, it is easy to see how this is an unusual experience for neighbouring bay users. The committee is investi-gating material to apply to the walls of the shooting bays to either partly absorb or dissipate this excess noise energy. In the interim we respectfully ask muzzle break users to be aware of other shooters on the range and work in with them to ensure that everybody enjoys the outing.

Portable clay bird trap. The portable clay bird chucking device is now complete and operational. The trap will be available to all members upon completion of training in its use by John Reilly and/or Bruce Adams. The trap is mounted on a sack barrow with both button and voice release facilities and the boys have located in front of both skeet towers and the trap bunker, locating pins on which the barrow handle mounts. The entire system is very simple yet beautifully clever and will afford the shotgun shooters the use of the facilities the rifle shooters have had for years. Clays may be purchased from the club and access to the trap will be arranged at this time. Please con-tact John for more details. He is listed on the previous page.
