CLUB RABBITS BEING SHOT: Whilst mowing the lawns in preparation for the Xmas shoot Simon ‘Forrest Gump’ Glubb discovered no less than 6 rabbits carcasses between the club rooms and bund. More troubling than the stench of a freshly dis- turbed, decomposing rabbit is the consideration of how they ended up dead. NO ANIMALS OR BIRDS ARE TO BE SHOT ON THE CLUB SITE. The clay range is for shooting clays and the rifle range is to be used with targets on the boards in the bullet catchers or 100 boards. We can’t afford a stray shot escaping the facility. Ironic as is sounds, the bunnies are off limits unless authorised by the committee. NEW RANGE SHED: The new range shed has been delivered and installed. In the near future the club will install loading equip- ment and the range equipment (rests and sandbags) will kept in the shed also. SECURITY CAMERAS: The committee has accepted a quote to install security cameras on site in order to assist in protecting our valuable asset. The cost is $6635.00 and is a com- plete set up with remote hard drive and IP based hard- ware providing high resolution images. The entire system may be monitored remotely also as members of the management committee will be able to log on from any PC and view activities at the club. RANGE OFFICERS: The committee is calling for any members who would like to become club range officers (RO’s). There is always a demand for volunteers to run the shotgun and rifle ranges on a Tuesday evening and for other club events. Anyone interested please contact Ivan or Reg. Keep your powder dry. Jeff.
