M1/Hotel Text Amendment
The NYC Dept. of City Planning proposes a zoning text
amendment to require a CPC Special Permit for new
hotels within M1 districts. This proposal would limit
the potential for conflicts between uses as well as
achieve a balanced mix of uses and jobs in
neighborhoods.

NOTICE
Pursuant to S1731 of the New York City School Construction Authority Act, notice has been filed
for the proposed site selection of a portion of Block 2108, portion of Lot 1, located in the Borough of Queens,
for the construction of a new, approximately 306-seat Universal Pre-Kindergarten facility in Community School
District 24.
The proposed site is located within Flushing Meadows-Corona Park and contains approximately 43,515 square feet
(0.999 acres) of lot area. It is located just northwest of the New York Hall of Science building at 46-01 111 Street in
the Corona section of Queens.

PFC Moore was a Marine private killed in the battle of Belleau Woods during World War I. Moore was a graduate of PS 17, and grew up on the corner of 103rd Street and Corona Avenue. Moore enlisted in the Marine Corps in April of 1917 and was killed in 1918 while serving with the 47th Company, Fifth Marine Regiment at Belleau Wood in France, in one of the bloodiest engagements fought by the United States during the war.
