Saturday, December 17th, 2011Bright and early as the sun had risen, a team of Zetas of the Nu Chi Zeta Chapter on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands headed out to the Christian “Shan” Hendricks Vegetable Market in Christiansted to prepare nutri- tional breakfast bags for the homeless residents in the local area. This Feed the Homeless Project, affectionately known as “Brown Baggin it with Zeta” is part of our community service efforts that we host each year. The bags included juice, water, fruits, cereal, eggs, sandwiches, and array of baked goods such as coconut drops and sweet buns, which were all items do- nated by the members of the sorority. Because of the over- whelming amount of donations that were given, the Sorors were able to feed the homeless popu- lation of both Christiansted and Frederiksted! The recipients were greatly appreciative of the breakfast bags, and thanked us many times for our kindness. To give something as small as a meal to a person in need goes a long way. Nu Chi Zeta hosted their annual Christmas Party on Friday, Decem-ber 23rd, 2011 which was themed, “Naughty or Nice”. A brief monthly meeting was held, and then it was “party time” as we exchanged gifts and indulged in a feast fit for Queens of the Caribbean. We en-joyed music and entertainment, shared jokes about the activities that happened throughout the year and played games, and ended the eve-ning attending a Wig Party Fund-raising Benefit that was held in honor of Soror Colleen Carter who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Greek Nite at de Village was on January 3rd, 2012 at the Festival Village in Frederiksted, St. Croix. Sorors met up the handsome men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Epsilon Iota Sigma Chapter and turned the event royal blue and white!

Visiting Sorors included Diane Hobson visiting from Gamma Epsilon Zeta Chapter

Phenomenal Zeta

The confidence in my step, the dedication I convey to Scholarship, I am a woman phenomenally, Phenomenal woman, That's me!

I walk into a room just as cool as you please, and to a man, well the Sigmas stand, while all other Greeks fall to their knees. Then they swarm around me, a hive of honey bees.

I say, It's the truth in my eyes, and the proud stride in my hips, the kindness of my heart, and the commitment to Service.

I am a woman phenomenally, Phenomenal woman, That's me!

Greeks have wondered what they see in me. They try so much, but they can't touch my inner mystery. When I try to show them, they say they still can't see.

I say, It's in the gleam of my smile, the grace given me from above, the beauty of my modesty, the inner need to give and receive

Sisterly Love. Wow, you understand, just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about or have to talk real loud.

When you see me screaming Z Phi it ought to make you proud. I say,

It's the blue in my heart, the way I hold the principles I should, the uniqueness of my thoughts, The evidence of Finer Womanhood. Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally.

Why else would I be a member of Z Phi B?
