David’s Refuge Mission:The mission of David’s Refuge is to provide a place of respite, free of charge for parents and guardians of children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions where they will be refreshed, restored, and renewed in their role as caregivers. In short, we care for the caregiver.

David’s Refuge was started in 2012 by Warren and Brenda Pfohl after they lost their son David to a genetic disease.

David’s Refuge partners with local Bed and Breakfast locations in Central New York to breathe life into these amazing parents.

All parents are welcomed to their two-night stay with a gift basket, flowers, dinner at a local restaurant, and spa service at no cost. Warren and Brenda believe that breathing life into these amazing caregivers will empower them to press on in their role as parents.

Combining the pleasant aroma with focus on the present moment, allows one to create the space needed in order to feel and develop a greater sense of self. This workshop will include an overview of aromapsychology, three oils to help manage stressors, making an inhaler, and how to practice using oils with meditation.
