Nursing Informatics Defined

Nursing informatics (NI) is the specialty that integrates nursingscience with multiple information management and analyticalsciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data,information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. NIsupports nurses, consumers, patients, the interprofessionalhealthcare team, and other stakeholders in their decision-making inall roles and settings to achieve desired outcomes.
