FAMILIES LEAVING PATTO

I would like to wish all families who are moving to new locations, or whose youngest child is finishing Year 6, the best of luck for the future. We thank you for your support of the school during your time at Patterson Lakes Primary School.

Best wishes to the following families:-

Hall, Howe, MacDonald, Orchard, Pym, Romeo, Sharman, Beninati, Bennett, Breslin, Currie, Galea, Gasperino, Howick, Lowe, McLaren, Nielsen, Ross, Scully, Tricker, Bayliss, Clester, Georgiou, Hornibrook, Larson, Maney, Massouras, Shen, Bott, Burton, Danaher, Faletanoai, Hughes, McGregor, Mutic, Ockwell, Schoeman, Smith, Terlicher, Opancar, Southgate, Ellison, Cook, Webster, Walford, Miles, Jerome, McDonald, Debargue-Tamai, Darmon, Mose, Gill, Edwards, Gedicke, Jayaram, Wakelin, Vajdic, Treloar and Jackson.

CONGRATULATIONS

One of our ex-students from Year 6 in 2009, William Hopkinson, completed his VCE at Patterson River Secondary College this year and was Dux of the school with an amazing score of 99.15. Congratulations Will on your fabulous achievement!

SPECIALIST CLASS AWARDS for last week were:

Art – 5A, P.E – Prep B, Music – 6D, Italian – 4C, Spanish – Prep D and Computers – 2C & 5A. Congratulations to these classes on their super efforts with our specialist teachers.

RADIO SHOW HOT SEAT WINNER FOR 2015

Congratulations to all students in the Gladesville Gladiators team who won the Radio Show’s Hot Seat competition for 2015. Thanks to the Radio Crew and Mrs Bearup for all your hard work in organising the radio show this year.

STUDENT REPORTS

Student reports were sent home on Monday. Please remember to return the comment section of the report to your child’s class teacher if you haven’t already done so. It will be photocopied and returned to you.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE

Congratulations to the following three students who have not had a late arrival or an absence for the whole school year in 2015: -

Raymond Z (2C), Trent C (3D) and Aaron C (5A). 2D won the award for the class with the best attendance rate for 2015 closely followed by 1C in 2nd place and 5C in 3rd place. 6C won the award for the class which was the best to arrive at school on time this year with 3/4Z in 2nd place and 3A in 3rd place. Our attendance rate has continued to improve and bettered our target of less than 12.3 days of absence per student with an average of 12.2 days. This result is the equal best outcome over the past 10 years. However, it is a little disappointing to report that there has been a decline in students arriving at school on time for 2015 as we had an increase of student lateness to an average of 2.8 days per student. In 2014 the average was 2.5 days and our goal for the year was to reduce lateness to less than 2.3 days.

HOLIDAY WORKS

Over the holidays some of the major works that will take place are: The carpet in Room 27 will be replaced, some maintenance painting around the school and three of the shade sails will be replaced.

Runners Club Results 2015

Congratulations to all students who participated in Runners Club

throughout 2015. It was a great year with many regular runners

clocking up the laps each week and achieving fantastic results!

Students were awarded certificates for their hard work and dedication at recent assemblies.

This year we were also pleased to hand out medals to a senior and junior boy/girl who

completed the most laps overall.

Congratulations to the following students:

These students will also be the first to have their names engraved on the new Runners Club

Trophy!

Well Done!

Thank you to the parents who come to support and encourage their children each week.

We hope to see our regulars back and new members attend in 2016!

Runners Club 2016 will be 8.10am every TUESDAY, beginning

Tuesday 16th

February.

Miss Conway, Mrs Laughlin and Mr Patane.
