• PPAR - cardiac muscle/glucogenesis tissues, liver, intestine,
renal cortex
• PPARb - ubiquitous/skeleton muscle
• PPAR - adipose tissue, large intestine, immune cells
1 - predominant form in above tissues
2 - adipose tissue only
3 - macrophage and large intestine
note: 2 has a distinct N-terminal extension
