on those is selling the place short.Nuarro is situated in Nanatha HalfMoon Bay and has a range of divesites to suit all skill levels. Somedivers are happy to concentrate onthe lagoon, which is covered in algaeand brittlestars and provides acritter-rich enyironment where youwill find moray eels, mantis shrimpand scorpionfish.
Further away from the shoreline, there is the reef platform, which isdominated by large Porites coralsand is home to green turtles, Ionebarracuda and schools of snapper.Fans of wall diving will be enthusedby the long wall (about ten miles),where longnose hawkfish can befound nestling in gorgonian corals;the greater depths are festoonedwith trees of black coral.
In general, Nuarro's dive scene isquite different to that of resortselsewhere in Mozambique. Theprotection of the coral reef hascreated a complex, multi-layered
environment with a greater paradeof reef creatures. So, ifyou're afterfish and critters (there's even a fewwrecks), this little-knovrn corner ofAlrica could be the place for you.

The local villageis a co-owner of the land on which theresort was built, and a communitycentre was built as part of the ongoingagreement. The resort makes a setpayment to the local community on a'per guest, per night'basis, and everytime a dive boat leaves the beach.
