(iii) Track is to be laid to the approved alignment, level gauge in straight curves
including providing super elevation and transition portions where required with
initial packing. The rate shall include all leads, lifts, crossing of tracks, handling, re-
handling, transportation of permanent way
materials to the site, pairing of SWP, straightening drilling of holes, chamfering
holes in rails where required Paint marking of correct sleeper spacing on gauge face of
base rail, painting writing of station no on
curves, 10m apart on the inside web and foot of the outer rails and realigning the
same including initial packing and providing, fixing steel curve boards on
approach of the curve fixed at tangent point on the out side of the curve duly
painted curve details as per directives of
Engineer In-charge Greasing of Elastic Rail clips & inserts and greasing/oiling of fish
plates and fish bolts (IS 408-1981). Providing correct expansion gaps at joints,
according to installed temperature,
sleepers spacing shall be suitably adjusted as per direction of site engineer.
2) Extra to item no.1 for linking and fixing in
position 52 kg 90 UTS T-12 check rails on curves sharper than 50 (along with inner
rail of the curve) including all leads, lifts, cutting of rail flanges for linking on PSC
sleepers to RDSO Drawing no. 75738-5740 including drilling & chanfering of holes,
bending of rails & rail flanges and
supplying & fixing all fittings as per RDSO Drg. T-4783 including brackets, MS Bolts &
Nuts, spring washers/packing pieces, distance blocks etc. for check rails
complete (Payment shall be made on the
basis of the running track metres measured from end to end of check rail along the
entire line of track as seen in the plan).

linking of complete set of 1 in 8.1/2 BG
52kg turnouts as per RDSO drawing No. at specified locations T-4865 at specified
locations comprising of 6400 mm/11000 mm over-riding curved switches, as per
RDSO Drg. No. T-4866, and CMS crossings BG 52kg rail section as per RDSO Drg. No.
T-4867/I, fit for fan shape PSC sleepers
along with C.I. distance blocks, bolts, check rails and as per above referred drawings
(excluding lead rails) with fish bolts holes drilled and chamaferred using equipment
approved by the Railway, all bearing
plates, ordinary as well as special rubber pads, fittings fastenings, for the turnout as
well as for approach/exist sleepers, fish plates and bolts, nuts, washers, Composite
GFN liners, distance blocks, check blocks, packing pieces, plate screws etc., and all
other fittings, also for lead rails and for
check rails, angle ties, stretcher bars, including PSC sleepers. (52 kg/90UTS/T-12

5) Supplying and stacking of machine crushed
Track Ballast, conforming to RDSO Specification of Track Ballast, June 2004
with latest amendments. Stacking of ballast
to be done along the alignment on cess/toe of the embankment, or inside cutting
including all types of transportation upto the site including all leads, lifts crossing of
tracks and any other obstructions. The rate
includes leveling of the stacking space properly and all taxes, levies, duties, octroi,
royalty, etc. including all material and labour. No deduction will be made on stack
measurement for shrinkage.

6) Handling/lifting/loading and spreading track ballast including light rolling of bed to
a uniform level by using light rollers
(minimum two passes) for preparation of ballast bed of required thickness giving
ballast cushion of 250mm. The ballast shall be lead from existing stacks to the
proposed alignment of the track and spread there to make ballast bed for the
track including subsequent making up of
ballast after linking/packing of track as required to make proper ballast profile on
straight or on curves including ballast in shoulders and cribs as a complete job.

7) Providing through packing of newly laid
tracks single line/double line on straight or curve with any sleeper density to a good
geometry to conform to specified
alignment and level and other track parameters including squaring of sleepers,
slewing of tracks to correct alignment, gauging, tightening of fittings, lifting of
track if required to obtain the required cross level/ballast cushion, packing of
sleepers and boxing to approved ballast
profile with all tools and labours as a complete job

8) Providing through packing of newly laid 1 in 8 1/2 turnouts/points and crossings for
bringing them to a good geometry to conform to specified line and level and

9) Welding of rail joints of 52kg, 90 UTS, T-12
(IU/1st quality) rail with short pre heat, Thermit Welding (SKV) process to make 3
rail panel on the cess or insitu including
USFD test of all welded joints and painting as specified in IRS specification of fusion
welding of rail by AT process to IRS T-19/1994 and Manual for fusion welding of
rails by AT process, Sept. 1988 including all labour and materials complete. It includes
cost of load test of thermit welded joints as
per clause 4 of IRS specification T-19 including all labour and materials complete.
Contractor has to arrange the testing of joints from the approved laboratory/test
house. The item includes the cost of
creating proper gap of welding by the contractor at his own cost.

10) Extra for transverse breaking load test of Thermit welded joints as per clause 4 of
IRS specification T-19 including all labour and material complete. The contractor has
to arrange the testing of joints from the approved laboratory/test house.

dead end as per approved drawings. This includes drilling of holes in rails, providing

13) Making new epoxy levelling layer of 13.6mm for a width of 400 mm over
concrete beam of track hopper (rail bearer) including fixing and tightening of fish bolts

The rate should be inclusive of dekinking of rails as required, cutting of rails as required
