Research Orientation I have so many interests in computer science related domain.

I will narrate below:

1. Intelligent Agents and Affective Computing

I love Intelligent Agents and I believe some day it will life with us more

closely like Apple’s Siri. But how does the agent learn new things? I had

major some class like AI and Data Mining. I want to make agents cleverer,

efficient. If Intelligent Agents can be a virtual teacher with emotion and

student love it, it would be a revolution of education.

2. Social Network and Digital Art

Social Network and Digital Art are both new issue in computer science.

What if combine people’s daily life into Digital Life? It’s still a question

for me to make people think more their own life by Digital Art projects.

3. Mobile Applications

The number of mobile devices has been the largest in the world. If we

develop a mobile application, it could solve many people’s problem. I am

still feeling not good at current mobile applications. I want to make this

world better by mobile applications.

4. Neural Language Processing

I found that I have much passion for NLP (Neural Language Processing).

I want to try to solve how to know people's emotion just by text input; In

my college graduation project I would using some NLP algorithm to

measure user’s Facebook wall to retrieve the best memories of a user.

5. More interesting things… I’m an open-mind student. If I meet anything interesting,, I would do

my best and work hard to learn, and integrate its to my existing works

and projects.

Q: Why chose us?

1. I’m interested in Prof. Shelley Shwu-ching Young’s works.

She is the top researcher of e-Learning. She and she’s Lab

have many experiences and researches in e-Learning. I

want to join them, learn from them and make something

differences.

2. There all so many e-Learning departments in Taiwan.

NTHU ILS is the top of all. It has many domain teachers of

leaning and psychology not only e-Learning. I can learn so

many difference domain knowledge form difference

teachers and labs.

3. NTHU is famous for engineering and technology. That is

one important part for e-Learning. I hope I could contact

with different people of technology.

4. In my school, there are many and many teachers come

from NTHU. So docs my instructor Prof. Hao-Chiang

Koong Lin. They are so nice and I learn a lot of things from

them. I want to become a nice person like them.

Q: Can you tell me what the feature of you

different with others is?

1. I’m a programmer, but I have passion in Education.

2. I have multi domain specialties and interests, not just

computer science. I prefer to do interdisciplinary

works.

3. I want to make this world more better using computer.

I love to help people by programing.

4. I have special passion in computer science from I was 8

old to current. I live with computer all the time.

5. I have some great personality not easy to present in text

like honesty, open-mind, easy – going and so on.
