Tender opportunitiesYou can find an array of information on the NSW eTendering website. Across the top of the webpage are several tabs with information about tenders.

The drop-down menu under the Tender & Schemes tab provides access to the following stages of a tender life-cycle:

Proposed - Opportunities that are yet to begin but some details are available Current - Opportunities that are open and are seeking responses Closed- Opportunities that have now closed in that last 30 calendar days Archived - Opportunities that have closed more than 30 calendar days ago.

It also provides access to: Schemes – Current schemes including application access Scheme Explorer - Ability to search for approved suppliers against a specific

scheme.

Standing Offer Notice - Opportunities that have closed, and the Standing Offer has been awarded to the successful supplier(s)

Contracts (Contract Award Notices) – Opportunities that have closed and the contract awarded to the successful supplier(s). Agencies publish outcome information in accordance with the Government Information Public Access (GIPA) Act.

Sort-by functionEach item in the Tenders & Schemes tab offers various display sorting functions so that the listing of opportunities can be altered to suit your needs. The Sort-by function is found in the top right-hand corner of display screen.

You can Sort by the following: Title - sorts the opportunities alphabetically by title RFT ID - sorts the listed opportunities by tender or contract notice ID Close Date & Time Ascending / Descending - sorts the listed opportunities by the

response closing date & time  Agency - the agency responsible for the opportunity Category - the type of good, service, or work being sought Publish Date Ascending / Descending - sorts the opportunities by tender published

date RFT Type - sorts the listed opportunities by tender type Last Updated - the most recently edited opportunities.

Search FacilitiesThe NSW eTendering system provides both a keyword search function and an advanced search function. Both are accessed from the top right of the screen by selecting the magnifying glass.

The keyword search uses a free form approach which allows for flexible enquires. This method is recommended as the ideal starting point when seeking to discover sourcing events and procurement arrangements within the whole of government. It will include a comprehensive range of results covering planned procurement activities, RFTs (Tenders and Schemes), contract award notices and standing offer notices in the one search.

Advanced searches use a structured approach and assists in narrowing the search results by using a series of filtering options. The text entered in to the search field will be used to find an exact match. This search facility should be used when seeking to investigate a specific type of procurement arrangement or sourcing events.
