What is NSP? In response to the recent foreclosure

crisis, the federal government is providing Kansas City, MO with $7.3 million through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to purchase and rehab vacant, foreclosed homes in the urban core and sell to eligible home buyers


NSP - Continued Five local developers will rehab these

homes and guide qualified families through the process of finding and purchasing a home.

Then we go find your house!


What will I get? This program is an opportunity to pick

a home out from an inventory of 100’s and work with developers to design a home.

Your home will have new products, will be energy efficient and will be decorated with the latest colors and style for lighting, fixtures and products.


What else? You’ll get one the best possible homes that

your qualified buyer dollar can by (updated and energy efficient)

You’ll get down payment assistance up 20% of sale price, up to $20,000.

If you are qualified for 1st time homebuyers tax credit or repeat buyers tax credit, you will still get that.

You may be eligible for additional tax credits for energy efficiency if your home requires new windows, siding or furnace.


Where are these homes?Homes that are eligible are located all

over the city. There are 8 target areas that have specific boundaries for eligibility.

The eight areas include homes in the Central, South, South East, North, East, West, + couple of around 1-70 to 40 highway and 1-435 and Blue Ridge.

Buyer must be able to qualify for the loan (there are several great lenders associated with this program – several of them do not use FICO scores to determine loan eligibility)

Buyer must be a US citizen, qualified alien or a non-immigrant

Home must be your primary residence
