  • J K PAPER CONFLICTIt all started when four villagers of this village were planning to fell the trees on their private land. However, majority of the other villagers protested and tried to drive some sense to these people as to how it will damage whatever steps have been taken till now. The profit that could be derived from selling this was close to Rs. 6000 per truck. In spite of this, the villagers decided not to fell those trees. The JK paper mills also encouraged the farmers to plant a particular set of trees that would benefit the mills. These efforts were also thwarted by the villagers.
