Memories are based upon moments.Moments of joy.Moments of tears.Moments of intensity.

Our passion is to create those intense moments.

That’s why on September 15th we turn the pages to start a complete new story. A new story in which a new and fresh club will play the leading role. Noxx Antwerp closed its doors on August 25th, but do not fear we will be back. Harder, better and stronger than ever. After 5 years we decided the time was there to give your favorite club the update it deserved. On Saturday September 15th we’ll present this complete new look to you with a spectacular opening event. Trust me on this one: Belgium... What am I saying? The entire world will know: Noxx is back and here to stay... Not only the look of our club will be renewed, but we also have some other changed made. Our music on Satur-day will be slightly different. Let’s just say we wanna give it a little female touch: housy tunes with a slice of urban influences. Next to that we have our Thursdays, which will be called “NeXt” from now on. A radical change and a new breeze in Antwerp nightlife on a Thursday night.

One month later by the way we celebrate our infamous Anniversary Party. 5 years Noxx Antwerp. Damn, time flies when you’re having fun... Instead of

the traditional Black revolution theme we chose to do something completely different. ALEA IACTA EST... We are about to create a Noxx Empire, so

this year we celebrate: The 5th Empire - Prepare for Glory. A mix of Ro-man and Egyptian battles and ancient performances will stun and amaze you. Expect glitter and glamour, loads of fireworks and the best music by our Resident deejay crew.

2009–present: “Silly Boy” and Debut AlbumIn 2009, Eva’s song “Silly Boy” gained popularity on the Internet., mostly due to the fact that the entire world, thought this was Lady Gaga or Rihanna. Of course Eva was flattered and the song became popular online, generating over 20+ million views. After this success, she signed a worldwide deal at EMI. The song actually started out life as a demo idea for another high profile US female act, and gained much notoriety after Kayne West posted it in his blog, with Eva’s vocal, and incorrect credits for the song’s performer, Eva Simons.

In mid-2010, Eva & Mike Hamilton wrote the song “Take Over Control”. They played the idea to DJ Afrojack, who produced the hit single, which spent 6 weeks on the Billboard Top Dance Airplay Chart, topped iTunes dance charts globally, and gained Platinum sta-tus in Australia and certified Gold in the US. The song has become a globally dance crossover anthem, propelling the profiles of both Eva and Afrojack worldwide.

In 2011, as well as touring across the globe, Simons went on to sign a major label US deal, and was featured on LMFAO’s track “Best Night”. In addition to this, Eva also collaborated with Will.i.am on tracks for his upcoming solo album, which led to “This is Love”, a number 1 hit single worldwide.

So it was about time to invite Miss Simons, as a performer this time,

to Noxx Antwerp for a massive LIVE performance. So join us on Sept 29th when Eva Simons takes over control at Noxx Antwerp.

Raised in Amsterdam, Simons grew up in a family of musicians, with a pianist father and vocalist mother. Her grandfather was the well-known Dutch ac-cordionist. Simons is a classically trained pianist and has been writing com-positions since she was a child, getting her first record deal at the age of 13.

Few could have predicted the way in which Dutch house blew up in recent years. It’s now undeniably one of the biggest currencies in global dance music, with everyone from hip-hop megastars to the reg-gaeton community embracing its chunky, syncopated style in some way, shape or form. You’ve heard about your Jacks and your Lukes; now it’s time for one Franky Rizardo to step into the spotlight.His sound focuses on tribal rhythms, big Latin percussion, nagging little riffs and proper house music vocals; a resolutely peak-time, big-room proposition that’s bursting with flavour, colour and energy. Music for wallflowers, this is not – but by the same token, it’s not as ‘banging’ or mindless as some of the not-too-distant sounds his fellow countrymen are churning out. A perfect balance of soul and thump, if you will.

As a DJ, his aspirations are simply to give it his all and to stand out in an ever-more-crowded market of jocks. “This can be achieved by putting a lot of time in searching and playing unique records” he reckons. “This has stuck throughout my career because I am still always looking for special records or acapellas to make my DJ sets more interesting and to surprise the crowds.” As well as his bliste-ringly hot, fresh-out-the-studio productions, his sets are also littered with his own exclusive edits of other producer’s tracks - which he chops, changes and rearranges to achieve maximum dancefloor po-tency. He’s nothing short of ambitious when it comes to the scale of his sets, saying he wants to “play 10-hour-long legendary DJ sets that people will remember for the rest of their life!”Since 2010, he’s been closely linked with Defected - the world’s big-gest and most influential house music label. Now a fully-fledged member of the family, he’s got their full backing - and that’s not some-

thing they ever give lightly. Clearly, they see something pretty special in him.House music is doing seriously big things right now, but when the commercial bubble finally bursts, it’s people like Franky Rizardo who will remain strong and devout to the scene. “I hope to spread the sound of quality house music” he says. It’s clear he’s got his heart in it and that he’s in it for the right reasons - and in this day and age of laptop DJs and formulaic producers, we need more talents like him.

Ryan Leslie was born into a multicultural family. Leslie is the oldest son of mother (Evangeline) Mooi Leslie who is of Carib-beanDutch, Chinese, and African descent, and father Clement Leslie who is from Barbados and of Irish ancestry, raised in-Trinidad.[citation needed] His parents are Salvation Army offi-cers who frequently relocate for work. Ryan has lived in various states, cities, and countries. At an early age, Leslie taught himself how to play the piano. He developed the ability to recite music, as well as arrange chords to create songs.An exceptionally shrewd producer, songwriter, performer, busi-nessman, and self-promoter -- he hired someone to film nearly all of his activities, which were diligently edited and uploaded to YouTube. He would soon be discovered.

After collaborations with Cassie, Sean -R. Diddy- Combs he started making his own productions as Ryan Leslie. He com-posed and sang so many love songs praised by many but never had a worldwide hit.

Les Is More

“Never had a top ten, but they still respect my art,” Ryan Leslie sang during “Glory,” from his last “album” “Les is More” and it seems to be the story of his life.

“Glory” was the first official single from this album, followed by ‘Beautiful Lie’ and ‘Breathe’. However Leslie would later an-nounce on his website that the album would come out pretty soon, it has actually never been released. He even got nominated

for a Grammy Award as a song writer. “Les is More” became a visual (digital) album containing some heartbreaking love songs, but the songs kept coming and his fan base grew spectacu-larly so something definitely had to happen. So he finally announced a date for his album “Les Is More” a few months ago. The artist’s third album is set to be released Oc-tober 23rd, 2012.

Only 3 days later the Grammy Nominee will stop by at Noxx to do a full concert, which is part of the official Les is More Album tour. Girls, you don’t wanna miss this for the world...
