COACH OF THE YEAR
Drake Zortman, Messmer/ShorewoodZortman only landed the job in late June but hit theground running, establishing a leadership councilamong the team’s seniors and getting them to believethat they could be winners, which was a tall order in aprogram that has had a revolving door of coaches andlittle tradition of excellence in the last 20 years. Theresult was a competitive 4-5 record and theGreyhounds first WIAA state playoff berth in 30 years.
