Bathgate Educational Complex Library Report ~ November/December 2011 Educators Evening Beyond Planet Earth New Visions Campus Librarians Network The Campus Librarians Network meeting was on December 14, 2011. During the meeting, we worked collaboratively to align the Danielson Librarian rubric with the School Library Services Reflective Practice rubric. Additionally, we reviewed the Best Websites for Teaching and Learning created by the American Association of School Librarians. Lastly, we focused on the NYC Information Fluency Continuum alignment with the NYS Common Core States Standards in literacy. Our next meeting is on January 25 th, 2012. Winners for the eReader grant will be announced at this meeting. Educator’s Evening @ AMNH Several times throughout the year, the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) organizes an evening, presenting their new exhibit, just for teachers. This evening celebrated Beyond Planet Earth: The Future of Space Exploration. The exhibit speculates on our next steps into the solar system. The event is free and AMNH is an amazing resource we can use throughout the year. It was great to see teachers from AMS and MHBX at the event as well.
