STEWARDSHIPNo one who lights a lamp conceals it with a

vessel or sets it under a bed; rather, he places iton a lamp stands that those who enter may seethe light. (Luke 8:16)

What we do with our gifts can be obvious.Have a way with words? Write devotions. Havea beautiful voice? Join the choir. Have a knackfor cooking for a crowd? Head up the kitchencrew at a Parish event.

But God did not say our lamps have to be Tif-fany caliber, only that we need to light them.

You don't have to be a brilliant writer to createa note that will make someone smile. Youdon't have to be a marvelous singer to join withfriends for a nursing home serenade. You don'thave to be a gourmet chef to help at a foodkitchen.

Thats the thing about gifts: God makes themgreat. All we have to do is offer them up.

Lord, let me use the gifts you so graciously pro-vide to shine a light on your greatness
