Meet Our New Minister of Music
The past month you might have noticed a new face in the music ministry.
Red Dam is proud to announce our new Worship Minister, Mike
Hutchinson. Mike is 63 years old, born and raised in Portsmith, Ohio. He
was raised in a country church and saved in the fall of 1972. Mike felt God’s
call into the ministry in 1973, he soon studied at Faith Bible Institute and
was licensed and ordained in 1974. In 1979, he was the Associate Pastor of
Music and Education at New Life Fellowship in Russell, KY. He has also
served as an evangelist in 5 states. In 1994 he met his beautiful wife
Jeanette. Together they have 4 children. In 1995, he became Associate
Pastor of Music and Education at Lakeside Community Church in New
Boston, Ohio. In 1996, he and Jeanette ministered at First Baptist in
Russell, Kentucky starting a ministry to singles, a divorce recovery program
and taught many discipleship classes. In 2011, they came to Bluffton, SC
where they built a house and settled into the lowcountry. In his free time
he loves to hunt, fish, and spend time with his six grandchildren. He loves
going to Disney World and back to Ohio to their 30 acre family farm. His
love of music started at a young age, with a musical family, and through the
years he sang in trios and quartets all over the US. Here are some fun facts
about Mike:
Favorite Artist? The Lore family or The Isaacs
Last Movie you saw? War Room
Favorite Dessert? anything chocolate
What CD is playing in your car? The Lore Family
Mike says he feels incredibly blessed to be at Red Dam and is always
looking for more voices in the music ministry.

Women’s Conference was a Great Success
The SISTAS of Red Dam hosted the annual Savannah River Baptist Association's Women's Enrichment Conference
at our Euhaw Campus October 16th and 17th. There were over 100 women in attendance from 17 different
churches. The message Friday was given by Shanna Crosby out of the book of Esther. Shanna challenged the ladies
to use Esther and Mordecai as an example to trust God through trials and conflicts. Saturday, Ginny Yerden taught
a breakout session on strengthening your faith through prayer, Ramona Bridges taught on strengthening your faith
through bible study and Bonnie Patterson taught on how to be joyful. The SISTAS of Red Dam worked hard to make
this conference a success and the Lord truly honored their prayers and service.
