Veterans Day Luncheon Stratford Court joins the nation in honoring those who have served our

country on Veterans Day. A special “by invitation” luncheon will be held. Watch for details upcoming. Residents’ Appreciation Fund

The Residents’ Appreciation Fund is collected and distributed to all hourly employees twice a year—October 25th to December 5th and April 25th to June 5th. As Stratford Court employees are prohibited from accepting gifts or gratuities of any kind, this is an ideal way to show your appreciation for all they do on your behalf. The Lock Box for collecting these contributions is located on the wall opposite the Card Room. All contributions remain completely anonymous.

ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS

MONTH

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ENDS Fall Back—Sunday, November 1st

SIGNATURE PROGRAM

Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, which occurs every November, was established to honor the millions of Americans living with Alzheimer’s through advocacy for a cure, awareness and education. In addition to raising awareness and supporting those with the disease, Alzheimer’s Awareness Month also reminds us of the importance of caregivers, who are there to help their loved ones as they tread the difficult path ahead. A month of special attention helps us focus on achieving those goals and it helps to de-stigmatize Alzheimer’s disease throughout our society. Join us as we place an emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease throughout the month. We’ve set aside one special day—Tuesday, November 10th—as your day to wear purple to show your support for those with Alzheimer’s and the organizations working towards a cure.

Thanksgiving We walk on starry fields of white And do not see the daisies; For blessings common in our sight We rarely offer praises. We sigh for some supreme delight To crown our lives with splendor, And quite ignore our daily store Of pleasures sweet and tender.
